    If you are thinking about getting anything from CarID...don't. I ordered LED lights to replace my vanity lights and ordered Vehicle Fit Specific bulbs and they do not fit. When I processed the return, they began asking me questions about tool marks, intallation marks, whether or not they were ever used, if I had the original packaging blah blah blah...

    I kept telling them it didn't fit...he kept asking questions like I was lying. Then he said I could return them, but the return fee and shipping fee would be deducted from my refund. It would have COST me money to return!!!

    1. He asked you about the marks, your answer should have been “no” not “it did not fit”

    2. You did not provide them with any photos.

    3. You shouldnt throw out TW like some kind of scape goat. Were not a bunch of people with pitchforks ready to jump on any company that you're having a hard time communicating with.

    You should have just provided photos as requested, provided straight answers to basic questions, and be a bit more kinder.

    It wasn't until he made me feel like a felon for trying to return it! I can understand his position to a point. But when I said it didn't fit, then that should have been the end of it. It's a bulb. It can ONLY go in one way. I should not have to take pictures of the packaging, the install attempt or anything else.

    And I feel I can leverage the TW site. Not because we "are a bunch of people with pitchforks ready to jump on any company that you're having a hard time communicating with", but because we are a LARGE group of people that want to spend money wisely and would not spend money in a company like that. It's a common practice.

    I would not have had an issue if it was something a little bigger than a bulb. I purchased headlight housing from them for a car a few years ago and would have had no problem complying with his request for those because it may have been a fitmint issue, or abuse or what ever, but in this case, like I said, its a bulb...only one way to install it.

    This is outside the experiences I have had for returns. Well, if nothing else, OP has educated us that CARID.com has a 1990's return protocol. I don't shop there and doubtful I ever will. Thanks for sharing OP.
