I don't like the subscription model for Carista. Is there an alternative obii trader that is recommended here?

You only need to pay for one month. $15.

What do you buy the carista evo? Then subscribe for the month you want to use it. But then you subscribe again when you want to use it again to do a reset for something in the future. Or how exactly it works?

I too despise Carista's business model. I'd happily pay them $100 for their product even with a VIN-locked license, but the subscription model for this is absurd. Yes, the idea is you cancel after one month, but their business model is to make money off people who forget. Sorry, that's just gross.

I picked a Launch "CReader" ...think it's this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7yYF1bKTU0

They're available on Amazon but also cheaper on alibaba. Think mine was $80-ish.

I can't recommend it yet, as I haven't used it Waiting on my 25 Taco to show at dealer but presently have a 24 4Runner. Will probably try it on that as well.

They are $151 on Amazon at the moment, regularly $189. That looks like a great tool, just way more than I need.

When I bought mine they had a sale on a package deal for Carista EVO and a one year non renewed access.

Why not return it if you haven’t used it?
