maybe you guys should come hunt every day you go to ensure a well-stocked deer jerky supply for the meet :D

well, my hunting season is over, and im sad to say.........there will be no deer jerky for the meet this spring:(. deer just aint moving now, plus the weather has been really crappy for hunting anyway and i havent seen anything since i took that spike a month ago. so i'll go ahead and say, hopefully there will be another spring meet the following year and maybe we will have plenty of jerky then.

damn that sucks. probably a gut shot.......but just maybe it didnt hit anything too vital and she will live till next time. i shot a nice 4 point(nice i mean he had some muscle to him) back in bow season and looked for him for 4 hours........a decent blood trail that just ended, and couldnt find him at all. so i really know how ya feel. i hope he is still walking around somewhere and recovered.......cause i really hate when that happens.

rope and a knife  the way i see it, rifles are nice sometimes but when you want a real challenge, try dressing in a deer costume, loading up with scents and calls, then when a buck comes along and tries to mount you, stick him with the knife and hang on to him for "deer" (haha) life...

hahahahahaha i can't believe someone would try to jump on one...i think my idea would be a bit easier because there is alot less noise or risk of injury involved...where is the "redneck things to do" thread? i should put my plan in there

yea i wouldnt doubt it if he did die doing something else stupid...so i have a question about the meet in April. my brother wants to go down there with me, he's 17 now and he'll turn 18 on the 27th (last day of the meet), but he'd want beer and if u guys dont wanna risk getting in trouble then i'll tell him he cant go or he cant drink lol

i know we've all drank underage before, but i really cant advocate it either. uwharrie is a public park, and they do have officials that patrol there, so it may not be such a good idea providing beer for a minor............myself or anyone else i dont think would want toget in trouble for that and have it on our record( besides.......we really arent supposed to have alcohol on the campsite anyway.....we just gotta be nonchalant about it and dont go crazy).
