What bedliner do you have in your truck? I'm looking for the extra insulation for truck camping as I'm currently using a drop-in-place plastic liner. Bedrug doesn't seem to make a liner for this year.

    Pretty much stock right now
I have a Toyota drop in, and a shell on the bed. Every time I have to crawl in there I want to scream because it's murder on the knees. I saw some mats at Tractor Supply which were pretty cheap which I could cut to fit. It would take two mats, and save the knees on this old man.

    Uh, a tool box
Have a nice thick rubber mat that was specifically made for my 2004 Tacoma. Its been in there since 2004, I'm sure it wasn't cheap, but it fits exactly to the edge of the bed floor, around the rear wheel humps, etc. Stuff doesn't slide around at all.

I bought a rubber mat for my 04 dbl cab short bed....hard as hell to get new off of Amazon. Only one company makes them for the short bed. I paid 92 shipped. I am sure they make them for the other bed sizes. Even has Tacoma in the rubber.

Yeah, this is the one to get. My truck came with it. I didn't think too much of it - seemed kind of a sissy thing as opposed to sprayed in bed liners. I changed my thinking the first time I crawled on my knees to retrieve something up against the cab. I love that soft padding. Cleans up easy too.

I bought mine off Amazon it was like 90 bucks about 1/4 in thick rubber. I love it. Before my dog just slid all over the place lol. It also makes it easy to get things out like my spare tire I just pull it right out. Also has the corners cut out for the little d rings. I love mine

Just a general FWIW... On my previous truck, a full size rig, I wanted a thick rubber mat for sleeping in the bed, and while talking to a friend about it he said... Just go down to an equestrian shop, they have thick rubber mats for horse stalls in a variety of sizes. I lived in a town at the time that had a lot horse owners, so I went to one of the shops and sure enough, bought a mat a bit larger than my bed for a fraction of the cost of what truck bed mats sold for.

Here is an example from the local Tractor Supply...

Just put a new setup in my 2nd gen

I got this and a free carpet that my neighbor was throwing out: It took 2 packs, so $20 (make sure you use the 20% off coupon they always have here: I just saw this too, when I was looking for the link to what I bought: Very comfy on the knees when packing things in there and as comfortable as my bed at home with my 3" piece of foam padding I use for a sleeping pad:

I got a thick rubber mat designed for the 1st gen '99, but it smelled so bad, there was no way I could have slept on it. Bedrug did not offer anything for the '99 truck except a large rectangle: I used the rubber mat as a template, came out great! There was enough to do the tailgate too. My knees thank me everytime I get in!
