Currently both Apple Maps and Google Maps display on the left portion of my dash screen on the Tacoma, where I have the directional compass established. Apple Maps always displaced the compass when used for directions. Google Maps never did until just recently. I do not want my compass to be displaced, I want to know my direction. Why did this start to occur and how do I disable it. Directions on the large apple carplay screen are sufficient. I don’t need 3 items telling me directions, HUD, main screen, dash display.

I usually find that software engineers and software updates are the reasons why these things happen. Reminds me of countless times that the menu systems on software (i.e. - Adobe Acrobat; Word; Excel) are changed and re-arranged to be more "helpful" to the end use. Eff that. When I get proficient with something, why would I want to have to learn where to find everything again?

Has there been a software update?

I would assume that’s the culprit.
