I want to buy a carport for my first gen halfcab camper setup to protect it from the sun. I have to park in the driveway unfortunately but I have alot of room to do so. What carports would you guys recommend for the price and how should I go about theft proofing it?

I'd buy whichever one fits in my drivewayand not worry about someone stealing it.

good question, I was just thinking about this today. I saw a harbor freight one on sale for $99, but would love to hear some actual owners experiences

The reason I'm posting this is because the cheap ones online (Walmart, Amazon) seem to be made with extremely cheap legs that break easily

I've had good luck with the ones at Cosco. Around $300. They're only 8' tall, but I've seen people elevate them using cinder blocks, concrete, anchors and 2x8's. Theyre usually on sale around the Burningman time of year.

Would it be possible to reinforce existing legs with steel beams from Home Depot?

Your sig literally made me lol, especially the gorilla and crying baby part.

I can't help your problem, but I thought you should've known that.

    I'm sure anything's possible.

2nd top review on this one has some simple tips to reinforce the legs (which btw on that particular carport brand, has very mixed reviews (5s or 1s) and many citing the weak legs as the products achilles). Bonus points for the double cab in the photo
