I'm not aware of any updates from them as of right now. People are barely starting to receive their bearing from the GB, so it maybbe another week or so befofe pictures of their install show.

so what on earth am i gonna have to do to make this work on a prerunner? i need to replace u joints and carrier bearings. buddy local to me actually has one of these but i dont think he has installed it and i just want to beef up my set up. kinda do preventive maintenance so that when i do lift it i dont run into any issues. also if i do this some how and end up installing the OME Driveshaft Kit (the carrier bearing spacer kit) will i re introduce any issues?

I contacted them about 2 months ago about when these might come available again but haven't heard anything back since.

    In a word. FANTASTIC.

I've been running mine for what feels like 8-10K. Not a perp or single problem, other than I should had painted the bracket when it was new. Solid setup.

Got an email awhile back that they were available and picked one up. Don't know when I'll be able to install it yet, saving if for future replacement.

It's been quite awhile since last post on this. Anyone else have anything to report on how these are working out?

Maybe not, but I still report excellent results even after introducing more torque and firmer shift patterns from the tranny after modifying my transmission valve body. If it can handle a superchargered and stronger than stock transmission it can handle the anything you NA guys can throw at it.

Finally got my bearing installed. I have a DCLB so I could have bolted it right up with a retainer bracket, but I decided to invert it with spacers to duplicate just a little lower than stock height (I have a 5100 3" leveling lift). So far, so good on my test drive, no vibes at all, but the real test will be Sunday when I leave for Yellowstone with my travel trailer. I'm hoping the take off shutter is gone

@Moogle you have likely seen this , if not there is an option to invert the poly bearing

Yeah I saw some doing that in the old group buy thread. Sounds like it works pretty well, but I'm just unsure about spending +$125 for a CB that I'd have to put a lot of effort into making work.

Alternative and solution: a single piece driveshaft. Double cardan joint on the trans side. Bobs your uncle. It's beyond me why toyota wanted to make a stupid two piece driveshaft in the first place. Its like for a second they were fuckin jerrys and over thinking it. Unless an engineer wants to chime in and explain why, with the tacoma wheelbase, we have 10 extra parts and joints in a shaft that should have about 3.

Any updates on these Carrier bearings and how they performed since swapping to these? My OEM CB is still slopping with a new CB.

Mine is still on and running flawlessly. Most cost effective mod I've ever done.

What did you add in to addition of the Carrier bearing, did you add the plate bar like the other members?
