Hey all, so I have a drop bracket lift and a csb drop kit and never had any problems before but with the new carrier bearing I put in the drivetrain is rubbing on the lower section of the rubber housing on the new carrier bearing. It wasn't doing this with the other csb. It looks like it needs to be dropped another 1/8th-1/4 inch to be centered in the csb so it doesn't rub. Replaced all u joints as well.
Thoughts? Was thinking of just putting another one or two washers in there to get it centered but it's hard to find those washers. Was also thinking that it's this csb that's just not made to spec so it's causing the drivetrain to sit lower in the csb than it should.
    It's a precision CSB.

Yea I think I'm just gonna throw another 1/4 to 1/2 plate in there to drop it down a little more. Already have 4 washers and a spacer but might only need another 1/4 inch to make it work. Just weird that this csb is causing the issue when the other one wasn't. I'll stay away from precision csb's in the future and get dorman or something better.

used to run stock bearing with OME drop spacer kit.

then switched to IEDLS poly, flipped it I believe, and put some sleeves as spacers to mimic where the previous setup was. Using stock metal tubes for welding (DOM) I got from a good hardware store that just so happened to hold it at the same length. Used a tape measure.

not sure what precision CSB is.

I believe there’s charts for angles. And people use an app on their phone to determine the angles of each shaft and adjust as needed. But I didn’t bother with that.

That sounds sick. Definitely gonna look into doing that instead cause just adding more spacers and washers to the drop im sure is creating less integrity in the securing bracket.

Precision is the brand of the CSB (center support bearing)
