Does anyone know the width of the bolt holes for the carrier bearing?

i'm getting 7.5" from hole to hole on mine but I recently lost a driveshaft at the rear flange and it mangled the exhaust and who knows what else underneath.

I looked at a replacement and my holes 7.5" apart will definitely not line up with this one below. I think the one below might be for a manual or LB because the front section is about 1" long but I would have figured the carrier holes lined up. Hoping I didn't do any damage other than the exhaust.

if you're curious, this is what a one-piece looks like after the rear flange cracked and broke off going 45mph ...

Somebody will chime in..I don’t know the answer to that question..When I was young..me and my cousin was going about 110 in a super B..exhaust pipe came off and got in the driveshaft …it broke and started dragging on the ground..then it got caught on a bridge and pole vaulted that car ..scared the crap out of me.

95% sure it should be 5.5" -- I think the free spinning driveshaft bent the support bracket. unless I get a 1 piece again i'll need to get a new support across the frame that has the carrier bracket. on the hunt ... anyone know what that would be called or a part number? it looks like a cross member but it's really just supporting the carrier. thanks!

thanks -- upon more inspection and image searching my brackets are completely bent out of position from the DS that broke off so I'm going to either:
    a) find a 1 piece (preferred)
    b) get the 2 piece along with a new crossmember
    c) get the 2 piece and fab a bracket
Until then i'm enjoying front wheel drive :)
