Should the driveshaft not be in the center of the bearing?

That rubber is flexible, poke at it with your finger. The weight of the driveshaft is resting on the bottom, it's going to sit off center. How much off center is a higher pay grade than mine.

    ETA:
My free opinion is it looks ok to me.

They will sag in the carrier when new.
It’s supposed to have some “give”.
    It helps with vibration too.

It will “center up ” when it’s spinning.

    Drive it.

The only thing I can think of is that the shop might have gotten the nut too tight.
It’s a BIG nut, but final torque is not all that much.

Also do the u-joints have zerks? If so you could also add a few pumps of grease if the shop might not have. The zerk type come with basically just a glaze of grease from factory if they are spicer.

    Yes
A squeak in the driveline is far more likely to be a u-joint going bad or in need of grease. Some of the trucks have the 100k u joints that are not serviceable so there are no grease zirks and others have greaseable jopints.

That's the sound I heard before replacing my U-joints and carrier bearing. Took care of it. This is how mine sits after installation. Sorry,IMG20221226131236.jpg but it's the best pic I have right now.

What is the carrier bearing P/N shown on your shop invoice?
