So I currently have an issue where I’m blowing through carrier bearings and u joints, I know a lot of people go with a one piece drive shaft or the CB drop kits, but I’m thinking has anyone thought of doing a CB spacer that’s more of a larger wedge shape so that theoretically would make your two piece drive shaft be perfectly straight to the rear diff just like a one piece would?

Any reasons why this won’t work or why i haven’t heard of anyone doing this, I’m tempted to try it myself to see how it would go.

Welcome to Tacoma World. First thing to do is go through the basics and make sure your angles are good first. Find some time and go down the rabbit hole on this thread first before jumping to inventing a new band-aid fix.

    What truck

want to check my angles to verify they’re good
But otherwise running a ford poly IEDLS carrier bearing on 2nd gen
    Doesn’t seem to have issues.

put a plate. Flipped it. Spaced it. Like folks say to do on DCSB fitment
