I'm expecting a BAK VP trifold this week and I have the front OE accessory rail with Hollywood skewer holders for a setup. We'll see if it works with no modification.

I would forgo the tailgate pad and just go with a hitch mount rack. The tri-fold will have to ride on top of the tires or be removed and what's the point of having the cover. Go with the hitch mount and you will still be able to cover and secure items in bed such as dirty wet gear. Depending on bike's wheel base and wheel dia. the bikes may need to sit in bed at an angle. I just got my Taco last Thursday and I really want a tonneau cover. The one you linked is the most affordable, decent looking one I've seen yet. If you go with it, let me know how it turns out. I'm tempted to order it because I can't invest $600-$900 on one.

I'm thinking of going with a hitch mount, just bought 2 new trek bikes and getting them home from the shop was a pain in the ass. I have the factory tonneau and short bed it was a bitch getting them back there. Had to ask guy at shop for cardboard to lay down between the bikes so they didn't get all scratched up.

Sorry man, a guy at AutoAlchemy cuts them and sells them.

So the accessory rail mounts won't work so I need to make a new crossbar that will bolt up to the side rails and allow the bikes to be mounted with the trifold all the way forward. Good thing I know people with machines. @bigworm36 :D
