Cars we used to drive - 1980 and older that no one would care about but you

None of the pics I post are mine...anything I still have that far back would be on paper...

'78 Honda Civic. Mine was green and had the 2-speed semi-auto "Hondamatic". It was a Riot to blast around on twisty backroads.

 

I want one of these so bad. The import classics are so hard to find now .

In early 2000s met a guy that dropped the civic si b16 vtech and trans in one of these. He said it would fly!!

 

A guy I went to school with did that same thing with an early 70's Datsun 510.
Not his car, but it looked almost exactly like this (but his had AR Tailgunner-style wheels and no stripes):

 

So jelly. I want this so bad!!! Lol.

 

He lives in the PNW now, apparently there's a bunch of them running around out there still, since they don't salt the roads.

 

First car - 1974 Plymouth Satellite Custom
Second car - 1978 Chrysler New Yorker

 

I had 2 of these 1st-gen Accord hatchbacks...a gold '78 5-speed, and a brown '80 with a 3-speed semi-auto.

 

...and a 1st-gen Prelude. Mine was black with the 3-speed semi-auto.



The early cars had an odd gauge cluster that looked like it belonged on a Gold Wing motorcycle. The Tach and speedo swept on the same arc...

 

1980 Datsun 200SX. Same nasty color scheme as this one.

 

'74 GTO...people hated that car.

 

My first car. 1970 Volvo 1800E. (not pictured but same model) Mine was Crayola Orange. I'll try to find a picture of it sometime. I loved it. No power steering but it was fun to run through the gears.

 

Loved the Daytona and the Conquest.

 

77' F150 4x4 with 400 cid V8 and C6 auto trans

'79 Mercury Capri

 

I sold it for a down payment when we bought our first house. Still miss it sometimes, but if I had to pick I'd rather have my current antique.

First car was a 1960 Vauxhall station wagon that looked identical to this one, except mine was white

 

this is what the last of my 79 camaro's looked like My first was a white and blue two tone. Ive also had a 81 trans am and a 77 cutlass.

 

Yep, I had a Gremlin EXACTLY identical to this one. Or at least it was until I put the chrome reverse wheels and baby moon hubcaps on it.
