How could I find out if Georgia has this?

Carvana has a great trade in deal for my vehicle but I don't see anything good on their site(Tundra or Tacoma) wondering if I could get a bill of sale from them and use it on a local dealership for tax credit lol..

Interesting info here...I put mine into Carvana & they offered $29,179 on my 2017 TRD OR with 29k miles, which is great! It's about $4k more than I paid for it OTD in Jan.

BUT...here's the interesting part...I also have access to Manheim (which is an auction site that dealers use) through a buddy who deals cars. So, just for kicks (& to see what else I could get if I sell to Carvana), I put mine in the valuating tool in Manheim (Basically, it looks at recent auction data for comparable sales to give you a ballpark of what to expect if the vehicle went through the auction process. It does take into account condition, mileage, region, & color, but that's it.). It shot out $29,900! Wow!!!

So, the Carvana offer is good! But Manheim is telling me that at auction my truck would bring even more! My buddy says the used market is super hot right now...he hasn't bought a car from the auction in a few weeks because of it...he's guessing it's the stimulus money out there, but who knows.

What I'm saying is, that as good as the Carvana offers seem, they're offering kind of lower end auction pricing. I may still sell to them for the ease & speed...but I thought this would be useful for everyone!

How much is the auction going to charge you for selling your truck?

I would not even consider selling my truck unless I was in a financial pinch . That's Great they give you more money for your truck than other places .But I didn't buy my truck just to sell it after a year or two if I was going to do that I would just lease it . A couple thousand dollars is not worth it imo .If you look at prices on vehicles they go up every year so u might just end up paying more in the long run when u go buy a new one .

Everyone’s going crazy over this and understandably so but why not just put it on craigslist, Cars.com, Facebook, Ebay? Carvana generally gives dealer trade in value/auction which is a couple thousand less than Private party. If you want top dollar and not I need to sell NOW. At least list it for a week and see what happens.

Individuals can't use it, so I'd have to go through my buddy. There would be some sort of fee...plus, I imagine it'd be way more hassle than it's worth!

I just wanted everyone to realize that the quotes Carvana is giving aren't some crazy, unheard of, gift from god, amazing amounts! They're paying below auction pricing for the current market. They get a vehicle at a very good price. In return, they give you (from what others have said in the post) a hassle free sales process.

Again, I am still strongly considering selling to Carvana, because my wife & I have three cars right now & we could easily get by with one (working from home & all). I might take the cash, plus the monthly savings on insurance, etc. then come back when things are normal & hunt for a deal on another Taco. I'm tempted to try to sell it myself for like $32, & hope for a quick sale. But then I have to deal with the (sometimes very significant) hassle of selling...decisions!!!

And in normal times, I agree selling a car can be a pain in the butt. I hate it. When we just sold my wife’s SUV for $1500 more than we paid for it a year ago, it sold in three days. Supposedly SUVs are in demand but not nearly as much as Tacomas. So I would think that selling a Tacoma could be really quick.

^^This right here^^ When dealerships starts stocking up on Tacoma's, the prices are going to be very high. I went to every Toyota dealership around me and there is NON. The demand is going to be very high for this truck, for sure. So, selling now and trying to buy another one when they are back available, you may spend a lot more.

I tried it with my truck (2017, 30k miles) and they only wanted to give me 26k.

Checked out of curiosity and to post my results up here.

Exactly. Everyone is talking about CARVANA like it's some gift from God. They use the same sales algorithms as anyone else. A dealer will give you that offer if you ask them or walk out the door if not getting it.

I will say that Privates sales are a PITA sometime though. Especially if you live in areas like me with a bunch of cheap Mexicans who alway slow ball everything.

Sometimes you have to consider selling private can be a pain if you still have a outstanding loan. Then the buying party may not have all the cash to buy either which makes it even more difficult. This is where places like Caravan and Car Max can make things much easier. You have to expect less money of course.

I just did the same thing. Offered me $43,200. For my AG automatic Pro. Paid $44,500 when I bought her new back in March.
Looks like I could sell her private party for more than I paid new for her. Nah..I'll keep her.

    A few.
Values might be dropping. I checked Carvana 2 weeks ago and then again yesterday and received $400.00 less on the 2nd offer compared to the first.
