Lol yeah they probably didn't like the major dents and scratches. I also have kings and TC ucas but didn't include aftermarket suspension since I'd probably put stock suspension on to trade or sell unless I was getting more.

I thought it was too high also. I’m actually considering doing it. It would be a break even with the little extras I’ve put in it plus a night out on the town to bring in and the return trip.

Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
I got offered a job with a company that builds the towers for Carvana. One of my good friends is the guy who puts them all together. Job was $90K a year w/ Sundays off. They paid for all the travel, hotel, 50% of medical and matching 401K. I almost pulled the trigger but I felt that the job was a bit over my head. You pretty much needed to be an electrician, Mechanical and Hydraulics technician and be able to read and understand electrical drawings. Not to mention relocate to Charlotte. It would of been a bit of a challenge but I'd probably have been able to learn the job and even excel in it but the no time off was a deal breaker.

    Well that depends :)

If you sell your 2019 Taco for $34K to Carvana and it pays off your $30K loan, you have $4k to buy a beater to use for awhile. Your financial picture just improved since you dropped your monthly debt by about $600/mo AND your liabilities were reduced by $30K.

You would certainly be getting somewhere financially under those circumstances. Remember: Toyota put the TOY in trucks...Nobody really needs one of these ;-)

Your point is 100 percent dead on....IF you replace your sold Tacoma with another new one...In fact, you could probably say your financial condition worsened if you did that!

I have a great offer from Carvana that expires the 18th and I'm in the same boat you are talking about. I thought I had a beater car lined up for the winter but that fell through and I'm not sure I'm actually gonna sell now.

I liken Carvana to Drive Time. (Talking buying from them here) Kinda sorta, In that with enough cash you can get a car or truck if you're in a pinch with challenged credit.

The used cars they have are a bit overpriced if I'm honest, but there terms are easy. You're going to pay a lot in intrest and if you want a good vehicle you're going to need a good amount of cash down, but you can get a car without going to a dealership and getting a lecture about your credit lol.

If I was buying a used car on Carvana I would stick to vehicles that are good and reliable in the used car segment.
Mainly things of the Toyota, Honda variety or older Chevy Ford that are easy to work on. =)

Bought a 2019 cement off road 4x4 DCSB, premium and tech packages last August at 36,250, msrp was 41,900. At the time really wanted a 2020 but couldn’t pass up the price. Was curious and Carvana offered 37,950 on Sunday. 8,500 miles. I called my sales guy to try and get into a 2020 with the same options but they only had A voodoo blue and I’m set on cement. Sales guy wanted a crack at my trade and offered me 38,000. No inbound 2020s and dealership had a 2021 cement optioned how I wanted. Decided to trade and get the 2021 at MSRP. Dealer would not budge. Undoing the great deal on my 19. At least I’ll save 2500 on the trade in sales tax. I was going in hoping to get at least a few thousand off a 2020. Dropped off the 2019 yesterday. New one is set for production 09/18 per sales guy. Hopefully delivery mid October.
