My offer just went up to $44k. I’ll wait until it hits somewhere in the low $50s, then let her go:rofl:

Just sold my 18 to carmax for 32k. They specifically want stock vehicles, i took off my bilstein 6112/5160s and slapped some trd sport shocks on. The lady told me if I modded my truck they would have offered a lot less.

The entire deal was extremely easy, they didn't even test drive it

After dealing with SETF/Carvana faxing BS for a week everything is finalized. Picking up my SR5 tmw morning, and im walking away with $4k.

Kind of ironic I rolled ~3500 of neg into this truck and 2 years later im making a profit.

Well Carvana showed up on time, signed a few forms releasing liability and giving them payoff authorization, handed over the keys and already got an email about my direct deposit payment all under 10 minutes.

I have until next Tuesday to either yay or nay on my Carvana offer. A tick under $25K for a truck I paid $25.5K for almost two years and over 17,000 miles ago. I will have to drive about 25 miles to the meet up place and they will take the truck and pay my Uber back home. Crazy.

Jeeze the world is incredibly upside down right now.

I tried to buy a 2014 TRD Offroad in Pyrite Mica and the day before delivery Carvana pulled the sale and told me the truck wasn’t safe. They wouldn’t se d photos or get me any other info on what the deal was. I was rather upset about it because I couldn’t see the issue and I had finally found the 2nd gen I wanted.

I sold a 2016 Ram Rebel to them a couple years ago and it was the easiest transaction I had ever completed. Plus they offered way more than anyone else, even more than private party sales at the time. I looked at selling my Jeep to them right before I bought my Tacoma though and they were offering KBB for it. So it is dependent on what they are looking for at that time and the area. If they offer more than I bought the Tacoma for a week ago then I’m all in and I’ll go find another one.

It is even higher now than last time, close to tempting... But I still like my truck and it have some mods on it that I would have to do again, bigger tires, tinted windows, bed mat, skid plate, remote start, dechrome...

I'm seeing 17-18s bringing just as much money as 19-20s. The older Tacos are coming in off lease and the retailers are fighting for them, as opposed to the one off 19 and 20s that are available for wholesale. I finally decided to sell mine as-is to a wholesaler out of Dallas who pays up for lifted trucks.
I do know one thing from working in the business. You ask for more new cars, and they will come. Just a matter of when. We are seeing them trickle in across all brands for my company.

Do you think regular car dealers will learn from this and realize how much more they can charge people if they stop with the games, scams, and tricks? Carmax sold my one year old nissan car for thousands more than I paid new a year back. People are happy to overpay to avoid the scumbag dealers and hassle. I know the car game and enjoy catching dealers in lies, calling them out, and walking away. I'll gladly make them feel stupid to save thousands but most people have other hobbies. It's getting hard to hold a straight face when I go into that F&I office however. my Wife won't even go anymore because she starts to smirk and giggle when they try to bait me.

Around here they combat that by offering online sales and also marketing that you're dealing with an actual person than a computer. Not to mention better deals and the idea that they're fighting to get you the best rate from the banks. They kind of cover their bases that way.

LOL! I'll still be here. I owe to much money on my truck. Wish it was paid off it sure would take allot of worry off my mind. You know the way this country is going and all. Just praying I don't lose my income and have to trade it for a chebby Spark.

WTH is it with all these Spark references? Is the Chevy Spark like, the new Ford Pinto of the 20’s?

If you own a Chevy Spark and a Chevy Sonic do they both go Boom?:boom:

With the crazy prices being offered on Tacoma's, I'm considering selling my 19.

I still have my original owner 00 SR5 /V6 4WD manual sitting at 165k miles in the driveway. Maybe there's a reason I haven't sold it yet?
