California is selling everything they have... and we're 5-20k above sticker here on the regular...

I did notice that most services including KBB, don't have estimates for 2021 models... They always "will email you in 2 days" responses. And I can't even get an KBB estimate because it doesn't have a 2021 in drop down.

Nope. Nor will it. I bought it to keep. I only owe $15K on it and I'll pay that off next month. So she'll be a free ride other than gas and routine maintenance for many years to come!

Carvana is offering me $35k on my 2018 TRD Off Road with 60k. Paid $29k for it a year ago with 48k. Strange times indeed...

None taken, if they would offer a little more…I might be persuaded : ). There’s a large Toyota dealer near my place of work, I’ve purchased three Tacoma’s from, not the current one. Almost no new new vehicles, no Tacoma’s, Tundras or 4runners.

I just checked my local dealer. They have 15 used Taco and 0 new ones. One they have listed is a "Punisher edition" Lol, sport with 27k miles for almost 41k.

Hold out for 42K I guess lol.

I paid 32k for my offroad like one year ago when most people were hoarding their cash and dealerships ramped up the incentives.

Had I known this used car nonsense was going to happen I could've bought two and made a quick 10k profit judging from this thread.

I put our 2019 Suburban in Carvana with 12K miles, they offered $40K. Our local Chevy dealer offered us $52K and haven't seen it. We decided to keep it anyway.

Officially picked up the truck just a few minutes ago! Not the best experience. I had to wait nearly two weeks for someone to pick up the truck as they couldn't find a driver. I then got a call about an hour ago (the first time getting any communication from the carrier about pickup) that they are coming by to pick up the truck today. Luckily I was home but would have been nice for some heads up on the pick-up date/time. Just emailed the Bill of Lading to Vroom. All out of my hands now. Just waiting for them to confirm and send out the check. Based on how slow they've handled things...I bet it will be Thursday or Friday before I get the check. I'll update once this is 100% complete and deposited the check into my bank account.

Update: 5/30/21 - On 5/29/21 I received an email confirmation for the Bill of Lading I sent them on 5/28. The email said will be processing payment in 2-3 business days. I then received an email about an hour later that they sent payment via direct deposit and should see it in the bank within 1-2 business days. This was surprising as I set this up with them vs receiving a check but their support team told me was capped at 10K. That doesn't look to be the case here. Side note, the truck is now on their site as available soon with a list price of $40,499. I would assume this price will increase once they process it but thought it was an interesting initial price with what they're paying for it (40,349).

They wouldn’t have left with my truck if I didn’t have a check

Had a great experience selling with carmax today. Last year I got an appraisal through them but decided not to sell because the price was too low. Today they offered $6k more than they did last year for a 2014 WRX

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
I sold a Honda Ridgeline to Carmax a few years ago.

It was painless and everything was done in about 3 hours total time from me arriving at Carmax to leaving with a check in my hand.

It had some hail damage on it and I had just gotten it back from the Paintless-Dent-Repair guy 30 minutes before I took it to Carmax.

The pricing certainly makes no sense. Plugged in my 2020 TRDOR with 7k miles on it and was offered $39k. How can a 2-year newer truck with 53k less miles only be worth 4 grand more? Crazy times.
