OP gets a little snippy on comments that aren’t in line with his opinion. Tread carefully.

OP- I love the sound of the Carven catback. Thanks you sharing. I’d never heard of it

Not real sure how this is hurtful to you. You said I failed at posting audio, I directed you to existing audio online. Idk....you assume too much I think.

    I do?? Huh, I didn't know
What's snippy about stating hundreds of audio files already exist online?
    Lol. This forum......Jesus.

TRD is a nice one. And altho I spent a large budget on my Tacoma, I just couldn't bring myself to spend $900+ on Toyotas.
I'd have loved to have found a lesser priced used one, however.

I want that exhaust too! But I can’t find it for a long bed. All the ones I find say 5ft bed.

Carven website lists the 6 foot bed as an option, they call it a regular bed.

I’ll check that out thanks! I like the flow master flowfx exhaust too.

I’m gonna go ahead and revive this thread. I just ordered a Carven cat back and they’re currently having a discount
upload_2024-6-29_21-7-48.jpgInflation and all lol. Anyways I got it for 5 and change delivered.

    I’ll say this.
In researching all exhausts for the little 3.5 I found the Carven to be the best sounding muffler out there. Yes, it’s just a muffler with some pipes. Maybe the 4” tail pipe contributes to the sound but whatever. It’s a solid growl that I like. I had a true dual flow masters on my 97 Silverado years back and loved the growl. I’m hoping to get some growl to my taco and the Carven is what I’m choosing for the candidate.

Let us know after you install it. I was going to install one on my 'Taco a year or so back, but my exhaust clamp from the muffler to the pipe from the cats is so badly rusted/corroded, I'm not going to fool with it. Would probably have to take it to a exhaust shop to have it cut out and and a section replaced to install/clamp the new exhaust in.

You may like it, but it will never sound like a V8, which seems to be your baseline

I got the black tip and made it axle dump. I love the sound, especially with my intake.

I ran a Carven for about 6 months, I wanted to love it but it really came down to it was too raspy for me. Throttle under load was like an old raspy cherry bomb muffler.

Nothing against those that love it, maybe at 40 I’m just too old for it. I loved the sound of it on start up but that’s where the love ended with it for me. I switched back to a flow fx and am happy again.

It’ll be my first exhaust mod on a V6 so this will get interesting. Either I’ll love it or hate it.
