2 hours away... gas cost will probably out way the discount unless I get my shock relocation kit installed there too

then it would be worth it

Right? So much hype, month in the making...hopefully it will pick up speed soon. I hope Lisa can keep track of this semi-officially and not just by people posting "hey I bought one". Maybe a daily update from Bobby (as if hes not busy enough)....just wishful thinking.

    Yeah.
Bobby will just have our email addresses (just called and ordered, he's a nice guy and said he has been on the phone all day), so someone will have to keep track here and on expo. Sounds like there are already a lot more than 5.

I just replied to Lisa's PM to let her know I have ordered, and I am sure she has better things to do than update the first post every hour or so. At least I hope she does!

I was just going to rely on everyone communicating with Blackdawg, Sander and myself for now. Once it gets closer to the deadline we'll compare notes.

Nope :bored: nuffin' better to do...

For some additional clairification, the requirement for the 30% discount has been met as this was posted by CVT (Bobby) on Expedition Portal this morning:

    "Have you already paid?
There are enough people already for the 30%"

Check out the forum on Expedition Portal as CVT is a member and posting information and answering questions.

I'll call in my order tomorrow -or- Wednesday at the latest. I decided to go with the Mt. Shasta. Also, I need to contact others in California (Ventura, Los Angeles or Orange County) about bulk shipping.

How much could I save on S&H if I opt for bulk shipping (ballpark figure is ok) to one location?

    Too many to list now.
I won't be ordering this week, most likely toward the end of the GB, but I am a for sure. Can't pass up 1518 for a king size bed with a spare room and dining area on the trail. Wifey said "don't miss this one"

So what's the deal with receiving these things on shipping to a residential? It's a 120 pounds, but it's on a pallet. Can you just take it off the pallet?

I ask since my wife will be receiving it, and she isn't exactly a heavy lifter (she's a 110 pounds...). Will they download it off the truck?

you can drive anyones trucks there

as long as the meet isnt before the tents ship..

I really dont know if i'll be able to do this group buy.. ive been waiting to do my taxes and I got them done last night.. :frusty: :frusty: :frusty: :frusty:

I paid almost $30,000 in taxes last year but since I cashed in a savings bond or two when I bought my house, that was additional income that wasnt taxed, so it counter acted all the additional taxes I'd paid during the year. I owe the federal $740 :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:

I'm going to try to be good about spending anything for the next couple weeks and hopefully my utility bills will allow me to order a RTT.

    do it!

you could have it dropped off at the UPS hub and then pick it up from there... mine came via USF Reddaway and the driver got it out of the truck and drug it into my garage for me. then i noticed a hole in the box from a forklift (even though the box had stickers saying not to use forklifts....) so he helped me open it and take the tent out so i could inspect it.

Mine just came and my mom was home so she had him drive around back and unload it. No pallet just a big box.

unfortunately this was a big problem last time. A lot of peoples tents were damaged by UPS for using the forklifts :frusty: Bobby was great about it though and would send out replacements. I think one guy ended it getting like 4 tents sent to him
