Everyone over there understands that this is just to see if there is enough interest to do a group buy and that CVT has not agreed to anything as this point? Still waiting to hear back.... :bored:

Please forgive my ignorance but, why are these any better than tents you put on the ground? What is the advantage? Thanks.

As long as the truck is mostly flat..you have a nice comfy place to sleep. No more looking for a nice spot.

    Has a built in mattress

Faster to setup and take down, good for bad weather.

Up off the ground so eh stay cleaner and less bugs usually.

I love mine cause it goes where ever my rig is. So if I get caught up in the middle of a trail somewhere..I can camp no matter what.

After years of ground tenting..its awesome.

Well they are very quick and easy to setup and takedown for one..
They have a mattress built in so they are a lot more comfortable than the ground...
There great for long trips since you could realistically stop anywhere and setup in minutes

Here is a video on setting one up skip to 2:30

That makes sense thanks. Do you know the average life expectancy of one that is well taken care of?
Also, how hard are they to get off of the truck(do you have to worry about it getting stolen)?
Again sorry for the questions, never even seen one of these. They look awesome, just looking for some more info before i gauge the wifes interest on such a pricey(not saying they arent worth it) rig.

Most ladies like it better then normal tents :D

My lady friends LOVED it over ground tenting. And it got my mom intrigued to get back to camping. My dad is planning on getting one.

And they are kinda heavy. 110lbs for the smaller ones and more for the bigger tents. But two people can lift it on and off easily. The size makes it difficult for one person to do it. But I've done it.

As for stolen..no idea  I live in WY man. Not a ton of thieves in a small town that could steel something so big. I guess it wouldn't be hard. But most people don't even know what it is..

You could probably come up with a security lock though if you where really worried.

A simple tac weld on a few of the bolts would solve that issue in a hurry. Most shops would just do it for a handshake and a thank you.

They are lock nuts. Would melt them..but I wouldn't want to weld on the tent..removability is handy
