    Looking at the picture , it looks to open to the passaenger side. The corner of the cover is a smooth turn around the driver side. The passenger corners have a square look to them that is a velcro flap that allows for access to the zipper for the cover.

    Personally I would keep the tent as close to center as possible. You're already messing with your COG putting that much weight high up, why put it off center and mess with things even more?

    So I'm getting the bailey which measures 48x48 when closed. I'm mounting on these bed bars, how far apart should I have the bars? I was thinking 42 inches apart would be good. Or does this not really matter?

    I would space them just a touch closer together - like 36" to 38". There are plastic caps that cover the ends of the mounting rails, those take up maybe 1/2". Then the metal plate/bolt that slides into that rail needs a little room too. Then consider that the bulk of your body weight will be in the center of the tent, not at the very edges.
    I have the Bachelor (56' wide) and have my Thule bars about 38" apart

    Can anybody tell me if I can mount the 55" fan out awning on either side of the vehicle or does it have to be off of the drivers side?

    Driver side around to the back, or passenger side around to the front.

    Generally driver side only!

    That's what I figured but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks. I have the awning and a Mt. Shasta coming in on Tuesday and I'm pretty excited.

    Does anybody have any pictures of an earth tone green tent?

    @Cascadia Tents

    I'm considering the Mt. Shasta and I read a couple pages back on how the windows were clear plastic. Is that still the design or are the windows a zippered mesh with then a separate zippered privacy/weather material. So, basically there would be three options for the windows 1. completely open 2. screen zippered shut 3. screen and privacy/weather material zippered shut.

    A picture of the inside of a current Mt. Shasta would also be great.

    Thanks!!

    I believe that was an oops at the factory on one run of the tents when the stargazer was first introduced. All of the windows should have a the zippered mesh and zippered canvas panels and the stargaer (roof) would have the clear panels and canvas panels

    Good morning,
    The windows do not have the clear plastic anymore. That was a couple of years ago. It is the design where the windows have a zippered mesh with then a separate zippered privacy/fabric material.
    Please let us know if you have any other questions.
