    Yea that's not cool. Who wants to be seen at all times? Plus the fabric will breathe a little better than the plastic.

    His IG shows him set up at an outdoor expo in OR. I'm sure he's just been busy getting ready for that.

    Like Josh pointed out, he's doing the Portland Sportsman Show so he's busy. So, I'm going to be patient until Monday or Tuesday.

    PS: I posted here not in a rant manner but more to gauge other CVT RTT owners feelings and opinions on "clear plastic windows" but as of now Bobby has been true to his words and promises and good cust. service.

    Not only did I base my purchase from physically seeing a handful of CVT RTTs from local members but also received 2 in the last 10 months of which ALL had "fabric windows" not plastic...

    Getting the new fronts on next Friday :) the place where I got my mounts for the crossbars, they told me every cross bar is rated at 165lbs(same weight as my rtt), although since a RTT distributes the weight so well that we will be fine with it. You would be fine with just 2 cross bars but I would put a third in there just in case. My rtt is Tepui's heavy duty version so it's about 30lbs heavier than the cvt Shasta.

    It's not that is not normal, it is that mine is a replacement and the one being replaced did not have plastic windows

    I really don't understand the plastic window covers...gotta think that was a mistake at the factory and not an intentional design change.

    It makes no sense...not only are you (and your in tent "activities" ;) ;) ) visible to anyone who may wander by but I think the amount of sunlight getting in in the morning would be down right irritating.

    I see Bobby has that Tent listed on his website for sale specifically calling out the NY NJ area. Glad you are getting taken care of. Hope all the headaches are cured by many comfortable night in the woods in the CORRECT CVT.

    Over the cab is going to be your best option then. Yakima and Thule make clamps that fit
