The worst part of all of this is I heard she has a case for slander against all of the major newscasters that labeled her as a murderer. She probably did it, but since all of these people couldnt keep their mouth shut she might get paid now that she was found innocent

ok once again the burden of proof is "beyond a reasonable doubt" not any or all shadow of a doubt and the prosecution has only that burden and no burden to disprove any other theories or charges. They do however need to chose wisely on which charge most fits the evidence in the case and go with that or multiple charges (which they did). Fact is the verdict of not-guilty is misnomer...you are actually aquitted which doesn't mean you didn't do it... just that the prosecution didn't meet their burden of proof.

She got convicted of giving false statements to police.

But lying doesn't mean you did it. Neither does a "hot body" contest (like CNN posted in EVERY DAMN ARTICLE), fucking your boyfriend or avoiding the questions. Suspicious? Undoubtedly. Iron clad proof of guilt? Hardly.

Like I read somewhere, it's a court of LAW, not a court of justice.

 

She's guilty, she got away with it, and now she is going to get rich too. That all sucks - but that is one of the "costs" of our legal system. Our legal system is based on the principle that it is better for a guilty person to go unpunished than for an innocent person to go to jail or get the death penalty. We don't live in a country where the police can simply kick your door in, drag you in front of a corrupt judge, and then kill you or throw you in jail without due process. In some cases like this we might sometimes wish it could be that way - but once you think about it for 10 seconds you realize it is better the way it is. She might get rich - but everyone who knows her or ever meets her is going to be almost certain that she killed her own kid. She'll eventually pay for it.

Guilty beyond a reasonable doubt? No. End of case.

Too bad there's no punishment for the sheriff who told the utility worker to stop wasting the counties time when the utility worker was trying to report something suspicious in the woods. If they'd found her then, the evidence would have been much better.

And of course CNN would bring up her "hot body" competition crap. The media loves pointing out any faux pauxs that they can to try to make someone look evil.

I heard this morning on the radio that the pres of Vivid entertainment has contacted her lawyers to see if they can work out something 'since noone will want to hire her and Vivid thinks she would be interested". Would you want to watch something that would put money in HER pocket?

To all you 'reasonable doubt' folks out there...

How do you explain the traces of chloroform in the trunk of Casey's car? Smell of a dead body? How do you let your 2 yr old daughter go 'missing' after 31 days, AND not call 911?? How is that not child abuse? Just to add insult to injury, HOW THE HELL do they claim she drowned in the swimming pool if duct tape was on the remains of Caylee? BULLSHIT. What about partying and getting a "good life" tattoo while her daughter was 'missing'? What about the computer searches of chloroform, neck breaking, etc. on the computer? Don't try and say the grandma searched for those because those claims were debunked by the grandma's boss with the time card. Nothing here was accidental and proof was all over the place for ag. manslaughter and child abuse.

Oh, and what about the jurors? The only fucking reason she was let off the hook was because they wanted to get out of there after being sequestered for 30-something days. Oh and all the claims about being sexually abused is absolutely bullshit and just another work by the defense attorney. And then to put her father out to dry to help her sorry ass. This case is a fucking shame. OJ all over again.

 

you never really know what it was like for those jurors unless u were put in a room for 30 days with no internet, no phone, no TV, and can only listen to what those lawyers say. Their view of this case is very different from ours.
