I watched an episode of judge Judy(I think) where a judge was suing a dry cleaning for losing a pair of pants for $300k.these poor chinese dry cleaners were spending crazy money for lawyers over a $100 pair of pants. They offered to pay for pants but this DICKHEAD wanted to put them out of biz. Judge Judy ripped him a new asshole and belittled him like she always does and does it well. Why would the legal system even entertain that kind of lawsuit?

 

Generally, civil suits are filed against someone who has the ability to pay. I'm fairly certain the homeowners insurance isn't going to cover this one.

This. And if you werent on the jury what makes you think that you can make a more educated decision? The jury was presented with the facts. All of us were presented "hear say" by news orginizations. Here in america we have a jury system, its not public consensus. If you disagree with our judicial system move to Cuba or some other communist country and see if that works better for you

 

the legal system would not entertain such a lawsuit. however, the Judge Judy show, which not in any shape or form a binding leagal court, does. If the chinese dry cleaners lost, the show pays the guy whose pants were lost. They both receive an appearance fee.

From what I read I cannot see how a dead child getting found with duct tape over the mouth could get changed from 'homicide' to 'undetermined means'. Crazy world we live in

 

My friend was on judge Judy.only the winner of the case gets paid.even though it's on tv,it is a real court case. They go through filed complaints in court houses and pick the ones they want for the show.the cleaners case was real. Let me google that case

Well look at this thread alone. Lots of people willing to hang her, but you already have another theory here that brings in reasonable doubt. Her father. As for not reporting her missing for a month, you don't know. How do you know that her parents didn't come get her all the time while casey was out on a drinking marathon?

No cause of death, no direct proof she did it. In a trial you have to take emotion out of the equation and base your decision on facts alone. Like it or not, the system worked like it should. The only thing she could be found guilty of is being a bad parent, and unfortunately that's not a crime. If it was there would be more criminals in America than I could count.

 

She's eligible for a total of four years for the counts of lying to investigators. I'd like to see the judge set those to run consecutively to keep her in jail for another year. She's been proven over and over again to be a heinous liar, I'd like to see her max out on the charges she was found guilty on.
