    I did but it burned out and the girls got me a pellet pooper. It's fun for now but I may start drawing up plans for another wood burner. I thought about a tank but may just get some steel and build from scratch. The pellet pooper does a wonderful job don't get me wrong but there's just something about using the old way

    I agree totally and I have both. We only cook smalls like chicken thighs and such on the pellet cooker.

    I guess the thing I like most about it is I can just set the temp and walk away. It lets me get alot of other stuff done while it's cooking. I will say it cooks a hell of a turkey or chicken. The ribs and butts are great but I can get alot more smoke flavor from just wood

    That is an awesome trailer he built. I've been looking at trailers lately myself but they are so bloody expensive I may have to build my own. I've been watching lots of YouTubes on the subject and I think I could do it.

    I'm retired now (if you didn't know) so my income is somewhat limited now and that is a factor too.

    Congrats on the retirement I’m a bit jealous over that. Have you made the trip to Orange and looked at his campers? I know there are several different ones out now in the sub 5k price range I have seen on yourube

    Yes I have. I kind of like the inTech Flyer model but it still may be too rich for my blood. Unlike you, my wife is not really onboard with my offroading/overlanding adventures so I'm pretty much on my own to finance it.

    There are some models out there in the under $5K range, but I've found that those are usually just an empty box on wheels. If you want things like a mattress, a battery, even just the basic necessities the price starts to go up real fast.
