    I'm really good thanks!
Does the fumoto valve fits good under the skid plate? I wanted one but last summer I "sat" on a stum and bent my front steel plate (the stock one) and thought, if I had tha valve I would have ripped it off! So for now it is a no go lol.

Bed bars looks good and are useful for a RTT, but a softopper offers more possibilities IMO. Now that I have a fiberglass shell, I couldn't imagine going hunting and fishinf without it, especially with an access cab!

Is your compressor going under the hood? Or just sitting inside the cab for future use? I'm still debating putting mine there with winter and salt and all. I don't know if it can handle that harsh weather more than once lol

This compressor will be in it's carry bag in a tote when I go out it's primarily for reinflating my tires. I have full 3/16 steel skids now for which cut a good hole to drain the oil..The Fumoto will be protected up inside that if I still only had the factory skid I wouldn't put one in either

First of all, @Kemosabe and @Casper66 you guys have the best profile pics going.

Second of all, I'm struggling over the topper question as well. No doubt for adventures a hard shell would be the best, but my former shell (redwood branch demolished it when it was off the truck and in the driveway) made the truck so much more of a pain as a truck, and removing it/putting it back on was not a trivial task... so I'm trying to figure out the ideal compromise. I'll be interested to see what you come up with...

    Haha thx!

It is sure ths tif you don't want a permanent cap, softopper/bestop are a great solution, but not as weather, thief and tear proof as a hard one. Thought very much about a soft top myself but with our winter, my job and my week ends, the hard one was the way to go. Also for the price, a used one can be find for cheaper than a new soft top

I can take you some pics today. Mine don't sit flush against the bumper but imo I think it would look silly sitting flush. I'll take a pic for you today tho

Actually, no one really knows what "Kemosabe" means. The word does not appears in any known Native American Language. One theory is that it comes from "Kema Saba"; an Apache word meaning "faithful friend." But in the Yavapai language there is the word "kinmasaba"; a derogatory term meaning "one who is white." Basically, the Indian word for "Cracker." Who knows? :notsure:

Good morning, rt now I have a set of home made bed bars and a cab basket I've converted over to work in the bed. I also welded a couple of bolts on them for a Hilift mount. This works great for it's intended purposes, however, for myself it's not ideal unless I change my approach to things and use my trailer more to haul stuff. I can't leave the basket mounted as I'm unable to put all my trash cans in the truck to go to the dump. I use my truck as a truck as well hauling things and find myself having to keep taking the bed bars off and then putting them back on. I am considering just putting it all back on plus adding a couple of quick fists on the drivers side and light tabs to the rear bar for additional rear lighting. OR, leve the bars and baskets off and install a soft top so I can keep my hunting gear out of the weather, haul camping or other gear out of the weather, and would then have the ease of a quick removal for hauling stuff. To me, both are good, functional, viable options it just boils down to me as to which works best for me. Rt now the soft top is winning out for the simpe ease of use and practicallity of it. Also since I currently keep my matching spare in the bed it would keep the sun off of it. I wanted a hard shell when I bought the truck, but, with having the 4cyl what I put on this truck is done with a good deal of thought as I'm trying to keep it as light as possible and the extra 100 or so pounds is just not needed. I put weight on the truck only where there is an actual bennifit i.e. tires, and armor. I kinda have to give a little to keep a little if you get my meaning. For me ideally a hard top with a roof basket would be great except I'd then not be able to get it in the garage to work on it and it'd make the truck like me fatter than it needs to be. I haven't yet thrown anything on this with out a good deal of consideration sometimes driving folks crazy trying to talk it out but it has paid off so far. I just never seam to do things the easy way but to be honest when I bought this truck I had never heard of TW and the plan was just to lift it as much as I could, put a cap on it, and as big and fat a set of wheels and tires as I could fit as I come from a much older train of thought having mainly ever just lated in the mud as an off roading experience. All this is a whole new world to me and I'm learning as I go. Looking at the truck you'll see very little cosmetic mods I have chosen to lace my limitted resources on things that are more functional. We all have our own independant needs for our trucks it's just a matter of figuring out what works best for the individual and I'm not capable of just throwing money at it willie nillie and seeing what works.

A perfect example of figuring out just which opton works best for the individual. As our winters are more mild, I live in a relatively safe area as far as theft is concerned, and the added fact that if torn the panels are replaceable the soft top is at least a good option

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics! Yours looks like mine except mne sit further back in the bumper for some reason. I did see on the SOS website in the pics of the bumpers there is one that has been cut rectangular and an actual shroud fabbed so the light sits flush in the back of it and the whole light is exposed. I just don't have the tooling here rt now to weld the aluminum. I may just have to cut the bumper a little so the light can be moved forward some and not so hidden.

    Directly copy/paste from Wikipedia :

    Ke-mo sah-bee
(/ˌkiːmoʊˈsɑːbiː/; often spelled kemo sabe or kemosabe) is the term of endearment and inventive catchphrase used by the fictional American Indian sidekick Tonto, in the American television and radio programs The Lone Ranger.

Ultimately derived from gimoozaabi, an Ojibwe and Potawatomi word that may mean "he/she looks out in secret",[1] it is sometimes translated as "trusty scout" or "faithful friend".[2][3] Its use has become so widespread that it was entered into Webster's New Millennium Dictionary in 2002.[3]

Made a few search before using this screen name. At first I create my account after seeing the movie The Lone Ranger, and my dad and I laughed so much at Tonto's definition of Kemosabe that I stayed in my mind, and then looked at the "real" definition of it and thought that it does match my personality, so Kemosabe I became lol

edit: According to Wikipedia, it is coming from Ojibwe dialect.

again from wikipedia : Dialects of Ojibwe are spoken in Canada, from southwestern Quebec, through Ontario, Manitoba and parts of Saskatchewan, with outlying communities in Alberta

More related to me than I thought! Thanks @Salty_Dog , I learned something today!

The Ojibwe aka Chippewa lived in the Great Lakes region. The Potawatomi lived in Virginia (that's where the word Potomac, as in the river, comes from.)

Tonto was a southwestern Indian. It's unlikely he would have spoken either language. That just makes it more confusing.
