Going out to do some :sawzall: going to build another set of bed stiffeners this time out of 3/16 and see how that goes it should be fun shaping by hand.

I need to do something like this! I finally have a bed light now (but only because I got a cap), but I definitely want something to light up behind the truck for those nights when I am gutting deer or loading firewood, etc.

The sets I am seeing for sale are a little too steep for me too...I'll be first in line for a set of Casper bedside reinforcements though...

I have a feeling they are going to be right at the same price point as the others. Afterall, there's a reason everyone else charges about the same.

I was half joking as I don't expect Chris to put these into production. The reason they all charge that price is so they can make money! Nothing wrong with that, though.

It should come in handy with the hard cap you could simply drill a couple of holes and mount to the cap corners

It's quite a bit of work especially hand forming the 3/16 1/8 was bad enough

I can imagine so. Fab work isn't done by twitching the nose, snapping the fingers or hitting keys and clicking a mouse like it sometimes is portrayed by the ease of "one click orders". Sadly many consumers only know the experience by what work Amazon or ebay requires to accomplish the purchase and don't know what the actual "magic behind the curtain" consists of.

Maybe they're just not twitching their noses correctly. All my fab work I did with a nose twitch, but I did add an abracadbra.

Justin and I don't usually intend to come across as rude or assholes we offered our talents to folks up north some of whom took advantage of them some not. Yes we charged a discounted price for work performed and did it well. Regretfully after enough times of being treated disrespectfully Justin has closed his shop doors to anyone and ncluding myself. Why else would I be here making things by myself with 1 arm. I've been doing this kinda stuff for many years as a profession, which in no way means I think I'm good at it, and it's provided a good living for my family. I understand You weren' trying to be a smart ass and appreciate the compliment, however after getting pooped on enough by others it kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth all around. Justin and I remain friends on here other than that after the last go round of getting dicked with we haven't seen each other in months simply due to some dickish moves by others. Sorry
