Dude there's so many out now. Pelican has the best for the money and made in USA. I got my 75 qt for 220 plus tax on sale. I can ice down an axis and store it for a week or 2 maintaining ice with pickling salt.

    New connections:
Wired a new trailer connector. My utillity trailer has a 4 way flat but a new project will have a 7 pin connector and a battery to charge. I started by removing my old 4 way and started looking at different ways to mount the 7 pin. I finally settled on a standard location yet a little closer to the reciever for at least a little protection. I know this is where most want to avoid placing the connector but for noe it'll have to do. Once I get more involved in the new project and see what kind or amount of wiring I have to dea with I may be able to relocate until then it is what it is. While I have desires for a steel bumper offering at least more clearance having to pull a trailer on a regullar basis leaves my options limitted. I will have to retain my reciever unless I can find a bumper with an integrated reciever that's functional. Most aren't rated and while many don't care about that I need to insure it will carry the loads with out any discrepency. I have no plans for any rock crawling or super difficult trails for now so when I do hit the trails i guess I'll just have to watch what I'm doing. I guess I'm heading more down the overlanding route and just trying to make this fun on an all-around basis.

So I located and mounted the connector. 7 pin / 4 way flat combo connector

I bolted the ground wire directly to the frame. A 10ga wire was then run through a rubber hose, for protection, and run from the engine compartment through the frame and to the connector attaching to the accessory hot wire. In the engine compartment I mounted a 30amp breaker to the aluminum relay bracket I made for my lighting harnesses. A wire was mounted from the battery positive post to the breaker and then the wire from the rear mounted on the breaker. Job done for now unless I decide to alter the mounting location later.

If I had time to spend with my girls I'd have been doing it gladly. Cherrish every moment you have with your children as it won't be long before they're gone. I wasted the first 4 years of my oldest daughter's life running and playing with my bows and arrows and it took my youngest being born with some issues for me to realize what an idiot I'd been. With no father growing up sometimes it's hard to figure out what your supposed to be doing and just where your priorities should be. They go from starting to walk, to school, to driving ,to college and gone in the blink of an eye.

Looks great (and familiar!) one thing I've noticed is the quick fists even fully locked down allow the tools to slip fore/aft quite a bit. I also want to lock down the hi lift handle. It rattles like crazy off roading!

    Excited for your trailer...

I zip tied the Hilift handle to the jack itself that seems to hold it good

So we went tonight and took delivery of our off road micro camper. It is the Tiger moth I spoke of earlier. I'm going to dump a few pics here now but will start a build page on it later as the mods begin. It has AC and a cooking area but that's about it. A shower and toilet will come later. We will be starting at camp grounds until i figure out the power demands of the CPAP I have to sleep with. It's prewired for solar so a panel will be in the near future. the plan is to be able to go completely off grid for at least 7 days. It's not capable of rock crawling but with 15" wheels and torsion bar suspension it should be able to follow me most places. At 900 pounds it tows nicely with the 4cyl and for such a small trailer it tracks well and even backs up good.

Little truck was run all over the place this weekend hauling supplies to get this camper ready. Got alot done, wired the 7 pin, roof basket, awning and we spent all day organizing, getting more stuff and more organizing we made good headway.
