It's easier to just put it into a build thread. If you look at the beginning of the mod lists on mine I kinda put a table of contents. This lets me go back and find things if i need to as well. And it's kinda just fun.

Yes! Kudos to Christie! It's great having a spouse that helps build your dream!

What happens in the rig stays in the rig!

I bet half the peeps would never notice the different trucks

I dare say my daughter would notice. But she likes trucks. She wants to inherit the Tundra when we head out to see the USA.
She even noticed the difference in ride on the tundra when I switched to Bilsteins and Eibach springs

    Tool and Hilift mounts:

Taking it easy today. Just mounted the tool mounts in the driver's side bed rail and the Hilift mounts in the passenger side bed rail. I spent a little time cleaning the garage so I can get around in it now and reduce tripping hazzards.

Caught up ... looking great Chris! :woot:

Hey, I gotta ask, how the hell did the dealer get the tires in the wrong place? I guess attention to detail is something only us GOBs care about any more. :frusty:

The "tech" put the 2 trucks on lifts side by side. It wasn't until later I realized what I'd seen but he took the wheels and tires off the passenger side of the old truck and put them on the driver's side of the new truck and on to the other side. I also asked that the lugs were to be tightened with a torque wrench but saw him tighten with an impact and not with torque sticks So i had to re do it all at home. I drove it today quite a way and much better like it was supposed to be. I had alot going on and just didn't think about it when he was doing it

    My thoughts exactly!

Wow, congrats! And solid work on 're-modding' so quick!

I'm just catching up after a few weeks of intense work and play, none involving my truck sadly. But, I'm getting ready for my first elk hunt and a slow meander through Oregon to get there. Gonna hit part of the obdr (which I did on a moto in '99) with a friend on my way to the hunt. Lots of pouring over maps and gps software, and lots of time tuning up my archery.

    A thing or two...
You could hunt with a rifle or muzzleloader. I used a muzzleloader for elk hunting when I lived in New Mexico.

    Seat covers:

I went out while it was hot today and laid the seat covers from the other truck in the sun and let them heat up a little. The TRD Sport seats and interior are quite different than in the other truck and I was afraid they weren't going to fit well but with a little stretching and tucking they went on fine. They're just regular seat covers but clean off easily and are comfortable. The seats in this truck looked so nice and felt so good I rally didn't want to cover them up but thought better to protect them. I need to find a rear cover now instead of the towel I have on the seat I guess somebody makes one with all the different sections that fold down.
