I'm already at around $100 for the oil for the diffs and t-case. Things are going to have to settle some before I go buying all this oil

Yeah. I don't know what Lucas costs, but Redline is expensive ($15-20 per quart). It was $100 last time I did my transmission and rear diff. If you don't have a good transfer pump, I would suggest looking into one. I don't know how the v6 is, but there is no room to tilt a bottle and pour on the 4 cylinder. I went through a couple from HF and Autozone that were garbage and failed after pumping 1-2 quarts. I bought this one off Amazon for my last fluid change, and it worked great. I'm due for another change in about 6k miles, so I'll see how well it's held up to being stored for the last 2 years approximately.

I bought all mine at advanced auto parts online, then picked up in store. They're always running 20% off deals that way.

Haha. The job itself isn't too bad. There just isn't a lot of room to work. For my last change, I used my landlord's lift, and it went fast. That pump I bought would move a quart of fluid in just a few pumps. There are crush washers on the fill/drain plugs as well that you'll want to replace.

I'll be using the lifts on base when I do my next one, so it should be pretty quick. I'll probably see if I can pull over a second drain pan and drain both the trans and diff at the same time.

Here's the kit I used to replace all the washers.

    Bed stiffeners:

I had a hell of a time getting one of the bed bolts out somebody must have tried an allen socket in it and rounded it out a little. I got them out, positioned the stiffeners and maqrked the holes in the corner posts. Drilled and installed. Done

I guess this will be the last mod for a while unless I decide to pt the bug protector on this one. The skids and sliders will have t wait until I save up for a lift I don't want too much weight on the stock coils. At least I have all that already tires rub just a tiny bit on plastic so no need to weigh it down more and my arm is nowhere strong enough to handle that rt now anyway

I didn't knew it would make that much difference! I am glad to have done it!

I used Lucas for my trans as well and everything is fine.

I can't take credit for the welds on this one. My arm was far too weak when I made these to hold the welder steady so I got my old welding partner to burn them in for me. I just did the fab work at least I'm honest. Ought to try shaping 3/16 steel with 1 arm it was "interesting"

Brian was also one of my best instructors. He's lazy as shit but one of the best welders I know. He did what I needed and sat back and let me do all the work but was there to help me when I needed to figure something out. I weld just like he does but am stuck doing mainly sheet metal fab work now

This is a hand made fender I had only basic tools for each fender takes 3 sheets of steel to make, last winter I had to build 4 with one arm fun fun fun
