Thanks! I'm just glad all this worked out well with the lift and topper. I saw your prinsu application and DIY cap rack very nice. That should offer you a ton of storage and versitillity. I may investigate a prinsu for the cab in the future if I end up needing the extra space. Right now between the bed and camper i've got all I need for now.

These roof racks are the first I've ever owned, and they're definitely handy! It'll be nice for hauling the RTT and kayaks on, and still have room in the bed for camping gear.

Truck looks good with that bestop! Glad you found one! And has you said it will suits your needs! Lightweight and removable quickly! Not like my shell that takes at least 2 people! And your rear lights definitely blends in it! Love the way your truck is turning!

Dredging up some info from your previous truck: those LED pods you mounted in the rear bumper. I bought the same ones with hopes to install them the same as you did but have not gotten around to it yet. What did you make your cuts with? Is there an exact location they need to be in order to fit without contacting any bracing behind the bumper?
    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

I just used a dieginder with a cut off wheel on it to cut the holes. Yes where I had the lights is the only location to put them as anywhere else the bracing is in the way. You'll have to get under the truck and locate the bracing, center the gap between them on the exterior of the bumper and mark where to cut.

Cool they're pretty handy freeing up bed space and supposed to be comfortable. There was a guy where we went last weekend that had one on a full size Chevy. I've never seen one so tall the truck was jacked up and the bed rack was at least 6" above the cab. It was so tall he had to set the ladder on the picnic table to use it.

That's insane  I know I'll be really tall since I'll be mounting it up on the cap, so hopefully that doesn't hurt me on the trails.

I wouldn't think so it appears plenty of folks do it. I would think perhaps a short shield or guard mounted to the rack in front of the rtt would be bennificial to deflect branches. Something stremlined like the one on the front of your Prinsu

That's exactly what I plan on doing! It'll also help reduce drag on the highway.

Makes sense to me and will help keep from getting your rtt cover torn up as well.

    SOS ifs skid:

So pretty morning I got a wild hair up my ass and decided to test fit my ifs skid. For those of you who remember I'd ordered a full set of skids for the other truck and had to modify them for the 4cyl. Well I dropped the stock guard and rolled the ifs skid under the truck on a jack to see if the oil drain hole I cut would line up or how much I'd have to change it. The damn hole lined up perfect so I threw a little anti seize on the bolts and tightened her up. I took some additional measurements for the trans skid and will, as expected, have to cut out the 2" I added and reweld it. That should be all the mods needed to make these fit as the t-case skid attaches to the frame with holes you have to drill and it already has the exhaust bump out on it.

Getting there one step at a time I need to start cutting the frame plates for the sliders now.
