After installing the Hilift I got to thinking although the 3/8 lock nuts held to jack secure it would make it more difficult to remove. I decided to try these. I found them at Lowes and for a couple of bucks a piece I figured worth a shot. They seem to hold the jack securely I'll just have to see if they stay secure.

While at Lowes I looked for the washers @JimboAnz suggested to keep the front shackles from flopping around, of course they don't carry them anymore. I dug through the misc washers in the hardware section and found these big rubber washers. The inside diameter was too small but outside was perfect. I centered a 3/8 flat washer on them, marked them with a silver sharpie, and cut with a utility knife. They work perfect, I tightened the shackles and no more flopping around and they blend rt in with the bumper.

There's one on each side of the mounting point so 4 total.

That's another great idea I just thought the rubber washers would be less affected by the weather

Did you have any interference with your t case skid?

Nope I had it on 2 different trucks. The T case skid is easy it attaches to the trans cross member bolts in the front. I only snugged those bolts then used a jack to lift it to the frame. I drew it the rest of the way with c clamps, drilled the 2 holes in the frame on both sides and tightened it up. My T case skid does have the bumpnout for exhaust so it cleared the cross over

I'm sorry I missed your point at first. I believe you meant did I have any issues with it and the sliders? In that case no I welded my sliders to the outside of the frame so there were no issues in this case

Yes sir everything done but the fluids, I still have a few thousnd miles before it's due and not overly excited about doing it but it'll get done. I only need to order the lucas or Mobile 1 for the diffs and i'll have everything.

Hmm, it's a shame you don't already have it. We could do a maintenance day on both trucks. I'm doing all gear oils, antifreeze, oil change and plugs.

I'm leaning that direction. Kinda a toss up for me rt now. No lockers or LSD's and stock gears so considering Mobile !, however, with towing the camper or a utillity trailer fairly often I've been thinking the Lucas. From what I've been able to find out the Mobile ! may keep it a little cooler but the Lucas stays stuck to the gears better. After reading the ECGS article thy highly reccomened it.

Mobil failed me and is like water over conventional so I'm not going back. It has worked for others but that all depends on what type of load and use you want out of yours

I may just go ahead and order it. I did get a pump for the oil. Just kinda dreading dropping all the skids it feels like i just put on. You have 500 miles for break in on your gears already?

That's kinda why I'm leaning toward the Lucas conventional oil pulling this little camper especially through the mtns.
