Sitting here bored so I think I'll start going back through the mods and kinda break some of them down at least th more interesting ones:
Suspension- I started this journey with no familiarity to Toyotas. I decided before my surgery last year that since I had a little money left over from selling my Dodge that I wanted to install a lift while I could still kinda use 2 hands. I made the trip down to our local 4wd shop to get a little advice and shop. I was recommended a Rough Country 3" x 2" leveling kit because I had expressed my desire to level the truck and wanted to install 285's. Well it did as advertised no complaints there and allowed the installation of the 285's on M/T 17x9 wheels. It looked good and rode good to me, at the time.
Then came TW! I met new people did some research and began to learn. I met @TacoFMS as we both kinda live out here in the country away from most people. Due to his hours of educating me on the functionality of a propper suspension i.e. wheel travel, ride, flex etc. Sadly I was a little stubborn in unerstanding the bennifits of a proper suspension and the taller skinnier tires but he was finally able to get through to me. What stopped him from throwing up his hands aand waiking away idk.
The search for a budget friendly yet functional suspension began raising funds as I could. A TW member and benefactor from the other side of the country sent me his set of Billstein 5100's and Eibach coils he was no longer using and I was able to order a set of Wheelers 3 leaf progressive aal's. I worked in the garage for 2 days by myself on the front suspension removing the spacer lift and installing the strutts with only 1 hand. I got everything broken down and the stock coils removed the first day and installed the Bilies with them set at 0. I only got 1.5" lift at that setting and the ass was just too high. The AAL in th rear had already been installed by @TacoFMS with me trying to help but with only one hand to offfer I wasn't much good but for handing him tools. The AAl that was said to give 1.5-1.75" lift actually provided about 3 and had never settled, works and rides great. Return to the front- the next morning I got up and borrowed my neighbors coil spring compressor. I removed the Bilsteins, broke them down, and moved the clip to the .85 setting. Reinstalled and got 2.5" lift I was happy rear still 1.5" higher than the front but looked great. The biggest and best suprise was the improvement in ride.
I sold my wheels and tires I bought off CL and managed to procure a set of 1st gen Tundra split 5 wheels from a buddy that was seling his truck (I traded my stock steelies with new tires for them I think a great find) so I ordered locally and had installed a set of 255/80/17 Cooper ST Maxx tires what a great tire E rated and very aggressive A/T tire but rides great, they're quiet, and I haven't found anything yet they don't get great traction in.
Following are a couple of pics. I didn't take alot but the first is the truck with spacer lift and 285's and I go forward from there.

If that were true it would have one banged up passenger door, and no paint (bald) on the roof....
