We believe it is but I guess we'll see. We'll still carry a cooler for drinks. The plan will be to run this off Solar eventually and help us be able to boon dock for a week at a time. Lots to do

Nice yeah I haven't even bought into the uber expensive cooler craze. I wish I still had my old school Coleman metal cooler with the stainless latch the classic look of those just screams outdoors to me.

The one I had was the one my parents had then was our family cooler for many years it finally died taking a spill out of the back of my truck. I may be younger but I just think the KISS method makes so much sense it's hard to not prescribe to that.

I do as well but some things are needed. I'm trying to get us prepared to be able to go completely off grid for up to a week. I have to sleep with a CPAP unit so electricity is a necessity for me, hence the solar system I'll be having to figure out. I figured why not with the fridge and it'll help keep the food fresher especially when we won't have access to ice. My theory is to get the fridge and I obviously have the CPAP so noe I'll have my power demands which will dictate the battery setup, most likely dual 6v batts and what solar set up I need.

I would go with some deep cycle batts. and calculate an error in there also run a charge cable from the truck to the trailer so that if the sun don't shine you can still charge. What I meant by an error is like an extra batt or 2 just in case.

The fridge will, for now, be transported and plugged in in the back of the truck. Then we’ll run it off the camper at the camp grounds until I can figure out a dual battery setup with solar.

I've been thinking of adding a solar source to mine as well but that is way down the road. I think the family is to connected to the grid still to not have it lol.

Hell I’ve been trying to buy one of these since nice last fall but they were out of stock everywhere. Yes I have a bit to f work ahead of me with the other stuff. While I don’t like being confined to campgrounds it’s fine for now at least we can get out and enjoy it and we’ve met some cool people

Im sure you will get it all figured out sometime. Maybe not this camping season but definetly before next years. My plan is to find a trailer for a RTT build before the end of the year. Oh did you see my signature, finally got around to a build thread

Don’t feel bad I found out the same way. Fiddling wirh the camper now. I took everything out and letting it air out. Christie got some elastic netting pieces I attached inside on the roof to store miscellaneous stuff and looking at what I need to do for the fridge and batteries nothing fun
