THis guy did what I have been thinking about and will do eventually. It will let me bring one of my dogs that cannot be off a leash and have some safe room for him to move around.

I couldn't really see anything except in the first ic it looked like they had the ARB awning with the added room. I have considered that and in the future it will probably happen. For now just getting going and sorting things out is enough. Now looking for a new truck on top of that

This that and the other thing.
The way a propane fridge works. flame heats a chamber holding a mix of water and ammonia until it boils. The ammonia gas rises to a second chamber, where it cools back into a liquid. It then flows to the evaporator, where it mixes with hydrogen gas. When ammonia and hydrogen mixes the chemical reaction between the two absorbs heat. In the off season, usually over winter months of cold weather the ammonia gets stuck in one of the chambers. Turning it upside down for a while then back over it all flows back to where it should be. It doesn't always happen but like I said, if ur propane fridge stops working give it a try lol

I got one of those Chillax hammocks. I really like it, 30 bucks at costco. I like the setup with the hooks, very easy to use. Also at Costco I got the LightOutdoors air pads. Very easy to use, comforable. I decided to got with 2 smalll ones. Easy to store. THey are more expensive on AMazon and have great reviews. I also tried their shower tent, but am returning it. Very flimsy, I went with the Cabela's one. Has lifetime warranty and got on sale for 150 instead of 200. Still at 200 I think it is worth it, it is durable and sturdy, but I wouldn't trust more than a 3lb shower bag on it. I think I am going to set up some type of arm off the front rack to hang a solar shower from.

Finally got it out last night. The front Thule bar was sagging really badly. I will try and reinforce. I did purchase the BAL wheel chock and leveler. I really like it.

These new fridges draw surprisingly little electric. Also, they (well mine) stop running if the amperage falls below a certain amount. But they are insulated enough they will stay cool. I have mine set to 34 degrees and had it in 100 degree temps and it cycled on and off all day, but at night it really slowed down. I can't recommend this type of fridge enough. If you have a small genset like a honda 1000 and solar you won't have any trouble keeping a house battery charged.
Don't know about the CPAP though.

My wife's birthday was last week and one of the things she asked for was a new Dutch oven. She has one ,however, it's not one with legs. She wanted this one for baking with charcoal when we go out. I got her a nice Lodge Dutch oven and she ordered the carry bag for it. Then she said they suggested you make a board for it to sit in/ on to protect the cover from the legs poking through and could also be used as a trivett. I used their suggestion of using the lid as a pattern so I marked it out on a piece of 3/4" plywood and cut it out with a jigsaw. Of course I wasn't satisfied there and didn't want it to be able to move around so I centered it and marked where the legs were and used a step bit to drill tappered holes for the legs to sit in. Sanded it smooth, rounded all the edges, and stained.

    Kitchen Mods:

The 2017 Tiger moths have a pair of brackets under the cover in the large compartment of the cooking area. These brackets are used so that when you want to cook you simply lift the cover and the brackets secure it on top of the back edge of the compartment so you can set your camp stove there and cook allowing full acces to the interior of the compartment for untensils and cooking tools, spices, etc. Our 2016 didn't come with these brackets so I asked for a pair. They're well made and powdercoated, however, trying to install them I discovered our main compartment must be narrower than a 17's and the brackets would not fit with the stove in there.
Simpe fix: Install the brackets and store the camp stove somewhere else. I guess I like a challenge and a fun project. I bought a piece of 1/2" plywood and used the original compartment lid as a template to cut a new lid with some minor adjust ments to allow for hinges and the radius of movement with the lid.

I cut the lid roughly into shape and kept refining it until I reached the desired result. I then sanded it smooth rounding all the edges and stained and applied 2 coats of polly to protect it from any spills. I attached it at the reear with 2 stainless hinges so when closed it secures with the original strap. When flipped over into the open, or working position it reuired outer support. I went to Lowes and found a telescoping paint roller rod. Note it had to be one that would twist lock so I could set it at any length as the ones with the click locks are at set lenbths. This will allow me to level it in any terrain or circumstance. The rod had a rounded swiveling end so I cut it off and applied a rubber foot like you put over the end of the leg on a step stool so it's also non slip. A happy circumstance found that the threaded end of the rod also fit perfecly into the hole in the board where the securing strap attaches while in the closed position. When your done cooking or for normal stowage the camp stove closes and rests in the compartment along with all the supplies in the compartment and the rod collapses and stores inside the compartment as well.

I believe I have decided to remove the water container and use that as storage space. I will then make another lid that will flip over from that position to use as a working surface we'll see I guess.

If you haven't calmed the dog down yet here is a suggestion. Try giving it 1/2 of a Dramamine tablet. Years back I had a dog that would freak out while driving, and we needed to move across country. A vet friend suggested this, and it worked like a charm. I gave it one dose, and she lay down behind the seat and slept until our first rest stop. Then she woke up, did a piddle while taking a walk, and then calmly went back in the truck. Never had to do again.
