The cricket is incredible and was our favorite but at an additional 15k and being unsure if the 4 cy would handle it well plus being a little bigger for trails we settled on the TM

Appears you got it from Roadtrip Camping, which seems to cater to the smaller and less powerful vehicles.

Concerning the AC mounting bracket, did Taxa or Roadtrip Camping make and install that?

Yes purchased from Roadtrip they were great to deal with. they actually have a selection for off road camping. Taxa installed the AC
Roadtrip sells the trailers with rtt's and different configurations

It really is a quirky looking little trailer, but there's an ugliness about it that makes it look really cool. In the end, I like it!

But I'm still a little puzzled: why the weirdly-slanted roof? Aerodynamics? Trade-mark design/profile? Some functionality that I'm not aware of?

Looks to me like it would tuck in nice behind a topper, with minimal wind drag.

The only thing I can figure is it was inspired by a tear drop but in a tear drop (at least mst of them) there's ni sitting area. Where the roof slants up is where the bed slides back and converts into a bench so yu have a place to sit and read or play games So, it slants up allowing more head room

    NEW CONNECTIONS:

Aha! The first mod! Sadly this isn't a fun or cool one but a neccessary one with bennifits. I already rewired the truck as seen in it's build thrad installing a combo 4 way / 7pin connector. My utillity trailer has a 4way so I needed to retain that connection. Along with the 7 pin in the truck a 10ga wire was run from the battery hot to energize the auxillary hot in the plug.
I went out this morning and cut the 4way off the trailers wiring harness. I then installed a 7 pin connector on it to plug into the truck and added a 10 ga wire to run with the harness ( I actually ran it in the harness as far as I could what a PITA) and up through the floor to the trailer's battery hot terminal.
The idea here is when the trailer is hooked up to the truck and in transport the truck will actually help charge the battery in the trailer.
