That would be great but we'll have to see. Christie will be going to CA for a week in September with her Mom and sister for her birthday.

Test drive was succesful! No difference in power or breaking. Only a minor bit of bounce when i hit bumps but very small trailer sits almost level. All that will be taken care of eventually if i get a set of heavier springs for the truck. The hitch is very smooth and the extra length made it noticeably easier to back up.

I think I'm going to add this mod to my camper as well. Are they all 120 AC outlets only? Until the little one gets older we won't be boon docking for a bit.

Damn Bud I hate to see you let it go. I know we discussed your trailering issues in the other thread. Have you considered anything like a toy hauler by Intec? You couldhave the best of both worlds just pull the toy out and whalla it's a camper. They even come with a pull out kitchen with a fridge and stove, available also with AC and all kinds of awnings. This just may solve your issues and let you have the best of both worlds

It’s been at the dealer for the last month. I’d hoped it would be back by now. I had to have the ac warranted and chose to go ahead and let him install the dual battery setup with twin 100w solar panels as I don’t know much about that stuff. I have 1 more piece to the puzzle to acquire and we should be ready to escape the campgrounds

The hope is that between them and the solar it will satisfy our electrical demands for several days so we can escape the campgrounds. It won’t run the ac but as long as it powers the fridge and my cpap that will work

Electrical supply—— dual batteries and solar:

I was able to pick the camper up today finally. I took it in to the dealer to have the ac warranted and decided to have an electrical upgrade while it was there.
Rhino rack tracks were mounted to the roof with polymer bushings in the roof to keep it from buckling. 2 100w 21”x42” panels were mounted in the track which also allowed me to retain use of the Thule bars.

Inside where the single battery had been dual group 31 agm spiral core batteries were installed along with twin 30a breakers and a Victron Energy charge controller that’s monitored via Bluetooth on my phone.

I like to do all my own work when I can but idk squat about solar and got a good deal from the dealer so just let him have at it. I’m glad I did as he did a really nice install.

We got lucky when we found this dealer and to have him less than an hour away is a huge plus. He carries nothing but smaller campers and many unique campers and camping trailers geared toward off road use.

    Looks good.

I'm putting together weather stations at work for a project where they need to monitor/log weather conditions. They've got solar panels, agm deep cycle batteries, and a tiny charge controller/power supply. It's an interesting setup.
