He did a very well thought out installation and super clean work I’m tickled. You just load an app on your phone and it completely monitors your charging and battery usage. It also left the option wide open for secondary panels if I need more juice or I’m in a shady area. If I get some remote panels with their own charge controller all I have to do is plug them into the camper it already is wired and ready

That's a sweet setup! Maybe one day I'll pick up some solar equipment and start learning.

I still have to figure out the controller on my phone and now I’m trying to re figure out how to mount the awning to the camper since I don’t have my basket up there anymore

I figured it out! I ust zip tied my pvc adaopter I made to the Thule bar in the rear and it'll mount there. Not pretty but functional. I may figure out a better way to attach the pcv to the Thule bar though I just have visions in my head of driving down the road and having it fly off going down the hiway. I just ordered the last piece of the puzzle I need for being able to get away from the campgrounds was the DC adapter for my CPAP machine.

Camping trip next weekend down around Blacksburg, Va so we can help move my daughter out of her apartment. Overnight trip the next weekend up in the mtns FIRST dispersed camping trip!

Maybe use some Thule load stops inboard of the awning?

Thank you I’ll have to check them out. It’s just a piece of 1” pvc I’ve used to adapt the awning to the camper. It weighs next to nothing

Seems like they might do the trick or at least give you and idea for something similar. They run ~$75 for a set of 4 which seemed steep to me.

Tractor supply and believe. Christie has a little flag she wants me to make a stand for for the camp sites. Maybe knock that out this evening. I have to let her put a few girlie things out lol

    New River Junction:

We spent the weekend at a little campground outside of Blacksburg, Va called New River Junction. This was our first trip out after all the modifications to the camper and having the fridge operating in it's little "house". Our daughter at Va Tech is going into her last semester and was moving out of her apartment and needed a hand so we decided to turn it into a camping trip and have a little fun.

Everything all hooked up and ready to go! It poured on us the whole way there and took almost an extra hour and a half to get there

New River Junction is a tiny little campground right on the banks of the New River. It was sandwhiched between the river and some rail road tracks so I opted to use the available AC power so I could close the camper up and sleep better as the trains ran during the night. It was a beautiful little spot best known for their tubing but with all the rain the water was upp too high so that was out.

The camper was all set up. The food was great and our daughter came to camp with us. The hammock was deployed, cards were played, and we relaxed

The fridge was spot on all weekend! Easy storage and my idea of putting the diamond plate 2" above the top of the box kept it nice and cool inside the storage box. It was so hot you couldn't rest your hand on the diamond plate yet the inside of the box was cool to the touch

We had a Taxa visitor a couple of spots down a nice couple from Floyd Va. with their Cricket

We did have to do a little work though. For the trip home the truck and camper became a Uhaul

All-in-all the weekend was a total win! The only negative thing we had was when we went to set up our canopy we had loaned to somebody we discovered it was broken so now I need to get one ordered for next weekend. We're going on our first boondocking trip next weekend with great company I'm pretty excited to see how well everything works together!
