That's kinda my thinking as well. The side hatch opening and the forward angle of it is still my concern the Driver's side is pretty strait forward.

You can see it's right up against the fender now.

Why don't you put spacers between the frame and the axle?

Dexter makes a spacer kit (just a piece of channel steel), but you could easily make one yourself.

Nothing too crazy - 2" should give you all the clearance you need, and not make the trailer unstable.

That's a good idea I will have to look into this. I don't want to get too high with the camper thugh at the same time I'm kinda riding a double edged sword here. I already use a step to get into the side entrance but the main concern is the kitchen. It's a 4' slide out in the rear and I don't want that so high it's awkward to use. Because of the Passenger side I may have to try something like that though.

The axel mounts are slotted so I may drop them down and see how much of a filler block I need. As wide as these tires are I may still need to make fenders. The dream of fitting 25580/17's to match the truck is pretty doubtful at this point but this will still give me a couple more inches of ground clearance

Ok Jeff since you have done this you can perhaps help me with a concern. Withthe Toyota wheels being hub centric and these hub adapters being a completely different size do the wheels still work fine with this or did you have to find some kind of spacer to fill the gap between the wheel bore and the hub?

Touching the top, yes. The angled side near the hatch, no. Make a fender following that hatch edge up until you're a couple inches above the tire, then straight out until you're above the forward half of the tire, angle a little bit down and you gtg.

Park the camper on a 2x4 and check the height of the kitchen....

I may just try parking it on a 2x4 but I have to get it to where i can move it first. I am deffinately going to have to take some measurements and do a bit of figuring on this.

You dont have to move it necessarily, just jack it up stick a 2x4 under it and then lower it down. Unless the back is blocked and you can't roll out the kitchen. Then disregard my mumbling.

No you have a valid point. I just have it parked in front of the garage but over to the side where the passenger side slopes down and it the ground falls away from the garage anyway. I kinda wanted to get it down the driveway more where its a little more level. I apparently will have a little time to play with this in the near future.

Thanks Jeff I'm looking for pics of the wheel bore showing the adapter. @Wild Crow texted me a few but a little hard to tell. Here is what mine looks like. This is what my concern is you can see the space between the wheel bore and the hub. With these being hubcentric I am affraid they may vibrate or shift without fitting tightly with the hub.

You'll be good without a hub centric spacer as the mag shank style lugs will still lug center the wheel just fine.

Even balancing with the finger plates you still cone the hub bore. That really doesn't balance them any different. I can balance the normal way the get a finger plate and use it and the balance will be exactly the same. The finger plates are really just used to not damage the face of the wheel with the cups.

They probably just weren't doing well or correctly. If it was road forced then they may have spun a tire or 2 to get the wheel and tire high and low spots to line up and not cause vibration. Also depends on what type of balancing they did, static and dynamic. On the new Hunter machines they have what's called smart weight which both static and dynamically balances which is the best. On larger wheel and tire set ups or heavier ones and depending on the spacing for the weights dynamically they will never balance and you must static them.
