So, after I installed my new CO’s I had it aligned again and the the tech said that he couldn’t get the caster on one side past 2.7.... the other side came in at 3.4-3.5 truck drives and feels fine suspension wise. Should I leave it or try and take it somewhere else in the spring..? Like i said it doesn’t pull one way or the other, steering wheel tracks fine and no vibes or shimmy’s of any kind. How critical is the 3.5 number....? Thanks in advance!!

I just want to add to the whole caster debate. It seems that most people push the idea that more is better. There is some draw backs to high caster angles. The greater the caster angle the greater the steering effort and stress on steering components at slower speeds that significantly increase with larger tires as well as lower tire pressures. For those that trail ride the rig especially in the rocks or slower speed activities may benefit from caster angles in the 1.5 degree range. Yes there are draw backs to lower numbers but castor angles should be chosen based on how the vehicle is used.

Well, that’s kind of why I posted because if it’s not a huge deal on my DD then I’m not gonna go crazy and chase a number that everyone seems to seek...
