Caster setting for Bilstein 5100 at 1.75"

    So I got an alignment after I installed my 5100s. It came out perfect (so I thought): 2.4 caster, 0 camber, 0 toe. The ride is great. With the caster at this setting and the bilsteins set at 1.75", the tire isn't centered in the wheel. It sits a bit back which looks a little funny but it doesn't rub. I am running no mud flaps. My question: what caster value are you guys running? If I ask the shop to lower the caster, will that bring the tire forward and more center?

    I'm currently running 2.8 with 265/65/17(30.5") and 0 lift. I should be at about 2.1; I just wanted to see what the extreme felt like. It's a little tight but I haven't noticed much in the way of bumpsteer, so....
    After I get my OME lift put on I'll change it to 2.1
    From what I understand, caster value is dependent on tire size; not lift.

    "-Stock tires "ideal" would be 2.1*Positive Caster
    -33" tires "ideal" would be 2.4* Positive Caster
    -35" tires "ideal" would be 3.0* Positive Caster"
    I believe you want more positive caster to set the wheel forward.

    ^ Thanks for your response. I'm running 265/70/17 size tires; one size bigger than stock. When I was running 2.5" of lift, I had to set the caster to over 3 degrees which affected the ride. I'm trying to stay within spec.

    So I had my alignment readjusted to 2.5 driver side and 2.9 passenger side. Passenger still rubs a little. I'm so tired of messing with this crap. I hear everyone say to set your caster to 2.4 which I tried and had rubbing issues. What is wrong with my alignment? I have TC UCA which I thought would help dial in the alignment.

    On both sides. The front tires would rub the back of the fender when I turned sharply and when I had someone in the passenger seat. It's better with the settings above. Just slight rubbing now.

    I've seen guys on here with the same size tires and lift as mine and they report of no issues.

    I had my 5100s set to 1.75. tires are 265/75r16s. I didn't mess around with giving certain specs to the shop I went to. Just let the shop do its thing. Kinda sucks that I messed the alignment a week after getting it done but oh well.

    So with my DC2s having +12mm offset (I think, they hang way out) will this have to be taken into account or will it have no bearing on settings?

    hmm. this might explain why i rub if i hit a bump turning hard right , but never rub turning to the left...I have to check my caster settings. Didnt realize it actually changes the position of the wheel in the wheel well itself. I have 265/70/17 on tundra wheels with a 2.5 bilstein setting in the front and a 3" aal in the rear...if you rub on one side does that mean you have more or less caster on that particular side? I'll admit, I'm a bit confused at the moment...

    looking to replace shocks and add spacer lift...I do not off road at all just like the height of a lift
    just want to be sure of what you are saying...

    at 0/0/2.4 with billys at 1.75 the tires sit back a little but you do not have rubbing and the ride is good? never thought of the alignemtn creating a rub...
