Caster, why so much confusion?

How high do you have them cranked up? Moving them down will help. Do you have clearance if you go lower? You will need to have it aligned again if you adjust them. They should do that for free if they let you leave with that disaster. How bad is it on the road? I couldn't imagine driving it like that.

    Is 4.3 an over kill?

Your ok with that. I would lower the left side to 3.8 or 4.0 to compensate for road crown. If not this may have a slight drift to the right.

Yeah I thought about returning to le schab have them lower it a bit more since I'm only running 265/17/70 i didn't think i needed the extra caster

This! I saw an earlier post where someone said they set the passenger side lower to compensate for road crown and that is definitely not what you're gonna want. Vehicle pulls to the side with the least positive caster.:thumbsup:

Does it put more stress on the power ball joint? Premature tire wear?

NO HARM TO BALL JOINTS ,, CASTER IS NOT A WEAR ANGLE > ONLY CAMBER, INCLUDED ANGLE & TOE ADJ WILL WEAR TIRES..
JUST SO NOBODY IS CONFUSED ABOUT THIS. I set more caster on the right front wheel to handle the road crown, usually +.5 degree is good enough.
LEFT FRONT CASTER + 3.5 DEGREES
    RIGHT FRONT +4.0

I apologize if my question takes this thread off its intended target but I suspect it will not. My 2016 SR5 LBDC is at factory height and has no lift yet and needed a front end rebuild. So much for trusting the CARFAX provided by the dealer - pay for these in the future. Summer and Snow Tires are 265/70-R16 and all the significant front and parts are OEM Toyota. Our SR5 is near 120k so I decided to replace everything in the front suspension. The steering knuckles are out, disassembled, and getting media blasted because they're heavily rusted. All other front suspension bolts/nuts are loose. However, I am not certain if the LCA cams actually moved. I was thinking of taking a picture and installing the new ones in the same location as a starting point and letting the alignment take care of the details.

My reason for posting here is to understand how I need to set the LCA eccentrics because we plan to remove them today so we can replace the CV shafts and differential fluid.

Edit - I should add I have checked the Factory Service Manual and have not found any reference information yet...
