Thank God I live in a free state.

Always shoot to stop, this is considered center of mass. I read the other day that something like 86% of the bad guys that get shot survive. If the bad guy dies that is his problem and not yours.

Do not touch the body, You owe no duty to a wounded criminal. If you mess with the scene you will go to prison. If it was not a clean shoot it should not have happened. You are responsible for your decision. If you were in fear for your life, you should be ok no matter what state you live in.

Know the states rules of engagement. If they suck, work to change them or move to a more free (safer) state. You do not have enough money to defend yourself if you break the rules. You may not have enough money to defend yourself in a clean shoot as it is.

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
When it come to when to shoot i agree with my ex army ranger friend "I'd rather have 12 people judge me than 6 friends carry me"

I don't beleive any "property" is worth a human life, so I'll let the professionals handle that. However, the lives of my family, neighbors and myself are definately worth protecting by use of deadly force.

I have a shirt that says that lol

People need the right to protect themselves and neighbors. A pump shotgun pointed at the criminal is better than giving the 911 operator directions to your house.

It sucks to take a life even when its clear they are the enemy. Its just different. im sure there is some military guys out there that can agree.

but when youre dead youre dead. there is no time for saying, well ...maybe this is a crappy circumstance for a man to die...Maybe he only intends to do me harm and not kill me...I'm in agreeance with the knee cap theory but then again what happens when he gets lucky and squeezes one off? 2 in the chest one in the grape! failure drill baby!

The bad guy gets nothing. I'm not giving up my wallet, watch, Hello Kitty backpack or anything elese. He is allowed to get jacketed hollow points 2 or three at a time. I don't care about the material things, It's the principal.

RIP to my 08 Prerunner DC
I remember seeing on the news that the grand jury decided that charges shouldn't be pressed. Also there was an undercover or off-duty cop sitting across the street in a car who watched the whole thing. I say that you fight till the end don't let anyone jack your stuff.

I would have done the same as him. To hell with criminals. Two in the chest, one in the head. FTW. No one is going to harm me, my family, or a friend. period! You break in this house...you are getting one of two things...the business end of a benelli or a HK. You made your decision at the door.

Thank God there are people who understand that owning (and carrying) a deadly weapon is a RESPONSIBILITY, not a license to kill. Otherwise, this would be the wild west.

That being said, I fully accept the responsibility, and the castle doctrine... but I'll do my damndest to exercise good judgement before I exercise the trigger.

No one person is completely innocent, but the people who go out to purposely commit crimes, hurt people with no remorse, etc should be handled seriously and with force if need be. Of course not all are true criminals, some teens get talked into doing things such as pranks, etc and can end up being hurt.

I have heard of kids being killed because of someone being overly trigger happy, but if you place yourself in that position, you pay the price. It is a hard thing to be in a position which can lead to horrible results for both the person protecting what he feels he needs to, and the other which is looking to rob, hurt, etc.

I choose to protect my family, as for my neighbor, I will try my best to see for their safety but if it does not place my family in danger. Just have to decide quickly what to do and try my best to do it in a smart and safe manner.

True, seems like no one is truly free in this "free" country of ours anymore.
