    Sup TWAZ!

Taking my grandma to see Castle Hot Springs Resort today. Apparently the resort was built in the 1900s and is our state's first resort.

Located on castle hot springs road just northwest of lake pleasant.

For anyone who has not seen the resort it's a mirage in the middle of the desert. Super impressive how well kept the place is..

I'll post pics later today or tomorrow in case someone may be interested in duplicating the experience.

Trails are easy. No 4x4 required.

Last time by there it was private property.
You can still see it but I don't think you can get inside the fence.
It is a cool place, they used to bring war vets here for rehab way back after the big ones.

Yeah, I thought it's been private for decades now. I believe JFK spent a little time there.

Let us know how it goes OP.

My journey today was a very enjoyable experience. Castle Hot Springs Resort is an oasis in the middle of a desert. On the way, I was able to see a few horses, donkeys, interesting rock formations, then finally Castle Hot Springs itself. What an amazing establishment it was. For being built in the 1900s, the property is kept very tidy even today. The lines of mature palm trees and the beautiful lawn show that whoever is owning the land now takes pride in it. It was private property but even from the edge of the property made for a great site to see. Afterwards, i took a trail to the north side of lake pleasant and dropped a fishing pole in the lake while enjoying the scenery and sounds of donkeys!

My grandma definitely enjoyed the experience. She is visiting from Kansas City, MO so we were constantly stopping to take pictures or to grab a pretty rock she liked.
