As most of you all have read, I am rebuilding a Tacoma.

My cat has never done anything like this before so I am stumped. Several people have told me the only reason he would have done this is if he picked up the scent of another cat's urine...

Either way... I am at a cross roads with it... New Carpet is $125-150. I don't want to put that much money into new carpet for a beater truck that will just get dirty anyhow.

I am going to get some "Nature's Miracle" stuff that is said to breakdown and dissolve the cat urine. If that works, great... If not I am kinda stumped. I am thinking about pulling the carpet out completely and having Line-X sprayed in. If I am looking at 125-150... at least the Line-X will be easier to clean...

    Any input/thoughts?

the carpet is now shit.....get rid of it. The cat will piss on it again and again and again if this is the first time it has done it. Oh yeah, get rid of that fucking cat and get a dog.

I got a dog also. A little Italian Greyhound... My wife wanted a Dog, one dog is enough for me, so I talked her into a cat instead. I can not get rid of the cat.

    :(

Oh no. Don't get me started with cats. One recently got up on my girlfriend's 4runner and sprayed a large splat of piss on the windshield right in front of the driver and it ran down into the air vents.

A friend of mine blamed cats on causing the roof of his house to leak. I thought he was crazy till I was working on a roof top ac unit and the valleys of the roof were piled high with cat shit! I could not believe it. I swept up an entire 5 gallon bucket of cat shit!!!

Cats are a friggin menace. I really hate them.

I actually like cats... My first pet I got once i moved out on my own was a black cat. I named him Lucifer. He was awesome. pLayed fetch with the lil jingle balls, slept beside me all night, attacked my feet in the night. would jump on top the dresser and other places and just knock everything over.. He was a cool cat... Chilled on the couch with me when drinking and playing video games...

As a long time landlord I'd recomment Folex, you can find it at Home Depot, or Lowes and I've seen it in Albertsons too. For your problem I'd recommend a good soaking, agitated with with an old toothbrush and then a good session with a wet/dry shop vac. Really try to get most of it out with the shop vac if you can.

I'm not associated with the Folex people at all, but I've saved a number of carpet replacements because of it.

    Good Luck
