I’m trying to decide between the Cat Security or the MillerCat. Does anyone have any experience with either one? Thanks in advance.

I installed my cat security shields in about 45 minutes. Still have my cats!

    Same with MillerCat for me.

there are a ton of threads recently about cat shields if you poke around OP.

it doesn’t really matter what you get if your just trying to hide the cats, if you need it to double as a skid it gets a little more in-depth - probably want RCI or Talon.

For everyday use, just pick the cheaper one and move on.

    Oh look, another mod....
This is what I have. Quick to install, and a great piece of theft deterrent. (Nothing ever really stops them, this just slows them down or makes the move on to someone else's truck).

The worst possible decision is delaying purchase and keeping your cats exposed.

both are good decisions. Just buy it and quickly install.

I would suggest the RCI trans skid and cat guards since they have a 15% off sale right now but looks like you already placed an order.

A third choice would be Talons Gatage.

I went with MillerCat stainless steel.

I have these installed and like them a lot. Already had the skid plates so it was a no brainer add on. It won't stop them but it may give them pause to go somewhere easier / faster.

Really wish i could get the RCI trans skid with cat-guards for my 2.7, not a option though last i checked. Gonna call em again on it i think.

Aside from that the Millercat one looks good to me, and like the next best option.

I considered cat security, millercat, and talon's garage. I haven't bought one yet but gonna end up purchasing the talon's garage shield mostly because they're local, but also the talon shields are a little thicker than the other two options. don't know if that's gonna make a huge difference but the talon's are 1/4" aluminum vs cat security at 1/8" aluminum vs millercat 12 gauge aluminum which is 1/12" give or take. so the talon garage ones seem pretty beefy. not sure if you need one that thick but i figure it couldn't hurt.

Millercat is the only one that protects the 2.7L configuration....right?
