My 2005 Taco 4 door 6 cylinder long bed sport is throwing both P4020 and P4030 codes (Catalyst below threshold on both left and right sides). It has 188,000 miles. The frame was just replaced by the Toyota dealer last week under the recall for rust through. The codes came on 5 miles after I left the dealer. I took it right back. The dealer says it needs new converters for a sizable chunk of $. I think this problem is related to the frame change. Perhaps all the work with the impact wrench caused debris to clog converters on both sides......I don't know. All I know is that I don't have the $ sink into it and it won't pass inspection until it is fixed. Does anyone have experience/advice associated with this issue?

    Good luck with that.

There is a thing called coincidence, and you do have a lot of miles.

You'd have to prove the work caused the issues, and that will never happen, and is unlikely.

    Save your pennies.
