    Looking forward to all the juicy details once you have them... how it secures to the frame, weight, etc. Looks awesome Jon - nice!

    This is just prototype made from 14g. The final ones will be made out of 10g or 3/16. Mounting will use existing bolts from crossmember a few others on frame. No drilling required. The dual cat trucks will be more involved and will take some time to come up with the best way to do it. This should fit 4cyl and v6 1st gens with single cats.

    Except this confuses the would-be thief and he winds up cutting out your muffler.

    Prototyps are done. Dual cat shields are a confirm fit. Should be test fitting single cat tomorrow.
    Pics coming soon.

    $150 to $350 depending on single cat vs dual cat. Also thickness of material, bare metal vs aluminum. Ceramic coating and galvanized coating will be offered but don't have an idea on those prices.

    My vehicle gets the 25-year classic vehicle emissions exemption next year, so I'm passing on this. Good idea though!

    I could be interested (2.7L single-cat standard cab) if you keep it closer to $150.

    Then again, my truck's showing a P0420, so maybe I should let the cat disappear and make an insurance claim first...

    Don't think insurance will cover it. Plus there's the deductible if they do.

    Luckily I don’t live an area where I have to worry about tweakers crawling under my truck to steal my cats but let me say this;

    @mechanicjon fabricated a seat reinforcement for 1st gens that has absolutely prevented further damage to my trim and makes the seat more comfortable. Been running it for years with damaged trim and it prevented further cracking. He figured out what Toyota should’ve and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

    If I did need this, I’d gladly buy from him because I know it’d be done right.

    That’s my 2 cents or a nickel’s worth of free advice or whatever you call it.
