We recommend the 304 Stainless Steel cat shield - it is both strong enough to act as a skidplate and is even more difficult for thieves to cut through if they want to steal your converter. Unlike other competitors, we use patented tamperproof security screws so cutting through it will be the only way to access your catalytic converter.

Would be good to see an install video or an install sheet. I saw in another thread that this is no drill. Would be interested to see how the front of it attaches with the riv nuts.

Dang, that was quick! Look what was waiting for me when I got home from today... apparently nobody told these guys we're all used to waiting 3-6 months for truck parts these days

I hadn't planned to do the install until next weekend but now I might try and throw it on this weekend. Will report back on how it goes.

Welp... so much for this weekend.

Was just reading over the instructions and realized I'm missing the support plate to attach the front of the shield to the truck. E-mailed customer service and am waiting to hear back.

 

Here, I thought you were talking about the Talon CAT plate...whew!

So, you're missing a support plate? I didn't see any videos for this CAT install...and I've looked at the photos on this thread.

Yea, it's the smallest piece in the kit (and isn't shown in the main product photo on their page which is maybe why I didn't realize it was missing initially).

Good news is: their support folks already got back to me last night and said they'd next-day air the part first thing Monday. Not much more I could ask for as far as that goes especially considering I emailed them on a Friday night.

Sucks... But I guess all it means is now I'm back to my original plan of installing next weekend (or this Thursday which I just remembered is a holiday).

I'll try and get some good photos of the install for the thread if not try and throw a video together.

 

I couldn’t find anybody that built one for these and I ended up building this cage myself.

It is not a trivial matter. There’s 130 welds on this little sucker. I wish I’d been able to just buy something off the shelf.

 

Got the install done today. Left a little message to any potential thieves

I took videos of everything and am going to try and throw together an install video to share for those interested.
