Catalytic Converter thefts?

I was trying to think of some clever ways to help against getting my cat stolen. I was wondering if anyone had ideas to what to do. One of my thoughts was to use a tranny skid plate to help block it/box it in so it's harder to get to. Would love to hear other peoples thoughts.

 

A full transmission skid plate almost completely covers them up.

That's is the route I'm going. A nice transmission skid plate using some kind of security bolts. While not 100% full proof it will make stealing your cats significantly harder and more time consuming, you will no longer be the easy soft target, most good thieves will just move on to the next easy target.

 

My engine and transmission skid plates were made my relentless fabrication.
